"I don't trust the Trike drives, but I would trust the guy with the Tour Shop"..... The Tour Shop guy started out saying it was $15 dollars and then upcharged to $20 within 2 sentences, hahahaha
Unless you drive a car or have a motorcycle over 125 cc, you don’t need a drivers license in Cambodia. I know. I’ve lived here in Siem Reap for over 3 years. And I get my 1-year ER retirement visa renewed every year at Cam Smile visa services in SR for $299.
The Giant Ibis bus journey from Siem Reap to Battambang takes approximately 3 hours and costs between $10 and $12 USD. It is widely considered the safest and most comfortable premium bus option in Cambodia, featuring highly rated amenities and professional service.
In his opinion the customer service is terrible everywhere else, and just because he finally received good customer service in Cambodia, he suddenly wants to live there permanently. One decent interaction and now he’s acting like it’s the promised land. It’s wild how he’s ready to uproot his whole life over something that basic.
Scotty has been in Cam less than a week and he's already decided that it's his Forever Home..... reminds me of a class of guys that tend to Over-Invest too early in relationships. Whatever, it's not as if getting a driver's license is the same as getting married. Good luck Scotty, careful making too many decisions while you're in the Honeymoon Phase. Peace and Love, B Goat
Scotty, the Regular Guy lives for chaos. I think five days in Siem Reap is way too long. Spending every day hanging around Pub Street and getting drunk doesn’t sound ideal, and honestly, I think it’s only going to get more boring from here.

I was in Angkor Wat about 6 years back, since Im lacking in culture I lasted about 1 hour there in that hot jungle and found it to be just a big pile of ancient rocks...Your right you will not like it there...Taking a tour of the killing fields is the most heart wrenching tour I have ever taken..Hard to imagine that there leader Pol pot of that regime killed a third of the population from doctors lawyers actors down to babies...Extreme Genocide....
Who goes into a restaurant and asks for dog food? You just got through saying street dogs don't like dog food, but you ask for it. You could have bought it a hamburger. Dim bulb sir. 😂
