"There is no tooth fairy, there is no easter bunny, and there is no 05-13!"

Imagine if 05-13 is that one guy who's anomalous ability is to always be ignored which is why some data bases need his identification to get access

My favourite is O5-13, specifically from his 001 proposal because to me it makes the most amount of sense. He isn't some god or doesn't exist or anything like that. He's just a completely normal person that the O5 took off the streets and started asking if things were weird. He's is quite literally our perspective of the Foundation, and I think for the 13th Overseer, that's pretty unique.

I read somewhere that there is a O5-13, he's basically just a normal person with no anomalous ability, not even life-extending methods, thus is regularly be replaced. He serves as an anchor to remind the rest that "what is normal" and "what are they fighting for". No meeting can be held without him, because his perspective represents a normal person, keeping other O5s from going too far with their methods. Among the O5 council full of anomalous members, his "normal" makes him the most "anomal"

O5-13 does exist in many timelines, as an ordinary man that the rest of the O5 council fear as a god. For every test the conduct on him, fails or passes in ways that never makes sense, but he ages and can be killed, he’s the only council member that doesn’t try to live forever, and he’s the only one that is given their position directly by the administrator.
The O5-13 is meant to ground the rest of the council, to remember humanity when they put things to a vote.
That and he’s the contingency plan incase the other 12 die somehow. He’s around to train the new council members in their roles

Mind you, the O5 dossier lists all the different interpretations of the O5.

what you showed here is just one version of each

There is a O5-13, with most timelines having them in being kept in personal space craft in orbit, to make sure that the in case of the entire O5 council from dying, they will be the one to choose, who will be selected to be the next O5 council members, theres actually one more person, left...
The "Administrator" who seems to work behind the scenes of the SCP, which means they could be the O5-13

@izjusme9504 10 months ago

My personal theory of O5-13 is that they are some kind of emergent entity of the SCP foundation. The identity of O5-13 exists in the system, without added information, cannot be removed, and cannot be accessed, but the system itself uses it, ect.

@Asht0nMitt 10 months ago

So, hypothetically, if 05-1 never was interested in hiking, would the foundation just… not exist?

@gato.tita.2025 8 months ago

o5-13 is just schrödinger's cat, it leaves the box when nobody's watching

@Eli-lg3vd 9 months ago

0:10 this may be nothing but as a somewhat local, this feels like a deep cut that about Cornell’s campus. Students and staff at the college complain that no matter what way you walk on campus, it always (or often) seems to be uphill. So the never ending path with non-Euclidean geometry might be a reference to that, but I could be wrong

My favorite interpretation of O5-13 is from SCP-001, where he's just a random normal guy the Ethics Comittee/Administrator picked out to have a sort of control or grounded person in all O5 related decisions.

And the SCP-001 entry was about a new O5 council wondering what happened to the previous one after they all mysteriously died except O5-13 (they died by O5-1 nuking himself and the others exvept O5-13 due to him feeling like that he was the only O5 member left who was aligned to the Foundation's goals I believe).

@carbonbasedlifefor 11 months ago

Fun fact: there's atleast 10 different entities/persons/objects that can be each of the O5s, roles, names, or amount of O5s arent consistent

@Blue_here_5 7 months ago

I love to think that O5-13 is that one guy from the shorts that was once a normal D class personell and then he got exposed to that scp that gives you vivid and full knowledge of one thing and thus now knows and vividly remembers everything about the universe

@ImVeryWholesome 11 months ago

05 council have a lot of interpretations, one of which has Administrator and the 05-1 being different, as well as the 05 1-13 being different in just about every universe, only real confirmed 05 member that is mutually agreed is Dr. Bright’s father, who is the only 05 to have successfully retired and separated from the foundation
