Aerith has been breaking my damn heart since 1998.

"Whatever happens, don't blame yourself" this line kills me so much man 💔

Reminds me of her line from Advent Children "I never blamed you, not once. You came for me, that's all that matters" UGH 😭💔

When Aerith pushes Cloud out of her timeline and Sephiroth is walking behind her man that’s Cinema right there baby.

Is no one going to talk about the guts it took for Sephiroth to walk in a room with Aerith and all those chairs around?

you can tell how scared she is which is just sadder than the other ending where cloud was there with her. she died here alone

This is just so incredible. Knowing what’s going to happen…she knows and we know but Cloud is obvious. When she hugs Cloud and the music swells up into Aerith’s theme, when she says, “This isn’t about me though. It’s about saving the world, and you.”
Then she thanks him. Look, I know we are all frustrated with the cryptic choices at the end, but can we appreciate how masterful this moment is? Some of the best storytelling ever.

The proper goodbye we've been missing since the original game.

The "Don't Blame Yourself" line is gonna be pivotal in restoring Cloud in part 3.  I just know it!  Its gonna be a flash back

When the music swells as she pushes him in 😢 I need the ost stat

Aerith's facial expression was perfectly animated, at 0:34. the darting of her eyes and her looking away captures her inner conflicts so well, like she knows she's running out of time , yet has so many things to say.

This storytelling truly beats anything in movies or TV. Nothing tops moments like these in video games. Compelling dialogue, suspense, emotional impact. The icing on the cake is the best soundtrack of any media ever.

Cloud and Aerith... after almost 30 years, I'm still here... the game of my life

This scene is just peak storytelling ❤

“Whatever happens, don’t blame yourself” Aerith knowing that she will die and trying to prepare him. Gut wrenching😔

Whatever happens, you cannot fall in love with me. Because I’ve already fallen in love with you.
Whatever happens, I am here for you. Because I want to always help you and see you happy.
Whatever happens, don’t blame yourself. Because I don’t want you to be broken after my death.

Cloud and Aerith I love you in every universe moment 😞

I love this scene so much that I had to watch the original Japanese version. Of course, there are some differences in the original Japanese dialogue and English version. I don’t mind the localization and love most of the changes but understanding the original does help to understand the creators vision on a deeper level without loss in translation.

Cloud, “So this is the most memorable place for us?” Aerith, “That’s right.” “That was too easy.” “That’s because we don’t have many memories together.” “Then we’ll make more together.” “You serious?” “Of course.” “Then I’m glad.” ❤️

sephiroth : and i come rollin, they hatin.

Everyone who played Remake know what a big deal it is that Cloud hugged her back
