Never hold a grude against anyone. Even if they hurt you. I held a grudge against my earthly father since I was 8. I'm 24 now, and two days ago, I forgave him. All that anger melted away. Thanks be to God 😢

5:23 "Man makes it much harder when he leans on his own understanding"

This scene had me in tears, thinking of all the people I've hurt in my life and I wish I could ask forgiveness to each and everyone of them. I'm sorry, truly I am.

Matthew 6:15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your father will not forgive your sins

This scene is a beautiful example of how we are to forgive. Matthew, even in his clumsy way, seeks Simon Peter’s forgiveness for his actions. He tries to acknowledge how his actions complicated and stressed Simon Peter. But Jesus reminds Simon of how he felt, when he recognized Jesus was the Christ. He knew how wrong Simon Peter had been, but Jesus forgave him. He saw his true contrition. This is how we are to forgive. It is not easy, but with Jesus as our example, we can do it.

My best friend was murdered in a home invasion in 2011 and my heart was filled with anger and hate for the 4 people involved. My sister and Mother taught me about being a Born Again Christian and I did it after the court case in 2018 and learned the hate and anger was in control of me so much I used alcohol to remedy the problems. My Mother said the Prayer in front of he window and from there I was Born A New. I forgave the 4 and the one who actually shot him. That was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. In my fifties now and reading the Bible after watching this show which was instrumental on my life. Thank You JESUS.

If we don’t forgive, it’s toxic to ourselves.

I love how they made him high functioning autistic. As someone who is high functioning autistic, it makes me feel more in touch with the scriptures.

Matthew teaches us a lot about humility here.

Please pray for my most beloved, my sweet husband. I wounded and I long to see his heart healed.

FATHER GOD please forgive me, I had an abortion, I killed my own child, one who desperately wanted, even more so I needed that Baby, words cannot express the pain I still feel years later 😢 I worry there is no room for someone like me in YOUR Kingdom, But I still need YOU, I want to follow YOU as I know there is no other way
This is my confession. I held onto it for so long, but I need forgiveness, if at all possible 🙏 Please FATHER forgive me of my sins and wash my soul clean in JESUS MIGHTY NAME AMEN
