Hello Mr. EVANS, I live in France, near Bordeaux and the flames of hell were impressive, the smoke visible for miles was much more gray, your painting well represents the drama. 2026 Dramatic year for forests. Your painting gives the impression that the flames are advancing towards the one who looks at it. I really like the quick reference landscape cards, I modestly try to reproduce them, which is an excellent idea for these maps. Sorry for my bad english..
Absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time, Charlie. Thank you so much. 💛 It’s really frustrating how water resources are managed here in the US—lakes and reservoirs are drained without clear reasons, even when there's drought. I truly understand your worries, especially since many parts of the US burn every year, causing thousands of people to lose their homes and livelihoods.
My tea was made in the kitchen, & I feel as you both do. It’s like when your beautiful tree was vandalized! Over 40 yrs ago a colleague & I discussed water, & she said people don’t realise it’s our gold! We are destroying our planet! Your Painting is a record of this. Thanks
Thanks for this Charles. Living in British Columbia, I am also saddened by the burning landscape. We are seeing some fabulous smoke enhanced sunsets, but at such a cost! Gail continues to do a wonderful job of recording your process, and providing helpful commentary. 😀
Thank you, Charlie, for your humor, honesty, and truly amazing painting skills. Love you and Gail and how relaxed and real you both are. Living here in California we feel for y'all suffering the fires. ❤
Life is an art, and Charles Evans manages to capture that art on a simple piece of paper, transmitting a little of his life experiences. That's why I, Marcia, a simple visual arts teacher from Brazil who loves his work so much, say: "Congratulations, your works are marvelous!"
Fabulous painting as usual. Sad for the destruction. Love the banter between you and Gail. Your paintings bring such joy as well as great instruction. 🥰
Loved this Charles! You always really knock it out the park as they say! Will be checking out the books, they all look incredible. All the best from a Man of Kent now living in Western Australia!
