One of my favorite things I've seen was a US carrier next to a Britiah carrier and someone asked what the US was compensating for. Someone answered "weak allies"

I watch a lot of "Brits taste American food" videos and Im convinced we could take over the UK just by building about 50 Hardees restaurants.

Most of the US's allies don't build big militaries they count on the US

4:10 "What do you guys need so many?!"
The evil chuckle that came out of me was completely involuntary.

Oh gods i laughed so hard as his pure and real optimism at the start just crumbled throughout the video

The most erroneous part of the whole video is America not also conquering Ireland simply because we didn't know it wasn't part of the UK.

You're not helpless. You have us.

The reason the US needs so much is because it has to be capable of fighting two great powers at once. No other country can do that but the US has to because all the security agreements

The reason the UK invests less in it's military is because the USA is a close ally. We share weapons and stuff with each other

11:25 No chance in the sea, no chance in the air, no chance on land, "Let's just stay friends man"

"We're better trained". LOL, Cool story Bro. Even our cooks learn to be a rifleman before learning to cook(no hate for the mess crew, ya'll kept me fat'n'happy between missions and I love ya' for it).

you're not weak, American military doctrine pursues a concept they have called 'Overmatch' that they obsessively seek to maintain. it basically means that they maintain a level of readiness that can defend against all known enemies attacking simultaneously

We have so much because we always have to save everyone else

Yeah. This is will never happen. The US/UK relationship is too strong. I definitely got a good laugh from your reaction though 😂

I have a feeling that just Texas alone could take the UK by itself.

4:28 lol. If you need to kill, overkill.

@Stripemas 3 years ago

You ask, "Why do you have so many?"...we are asking, " Do we have enough?"

@danbarry4772 3 years ago

NATO depends on the US to defend them. Thats how they can afford free Healthcare.

@irisriley3284 3 years ago

The problem is that most countries have relied on the USA for defense. The USA seems to have been very happy to not rely on any other countries for protection and prefers being the protecting big brother.
