I’ve had lots of success with the hybrids.

I got me a new slug gun to day with a scope, got it now on points😊 👉

This is a very nice breakdown. I mainly use .22. The Benjamin marauder semiautomatic loves the Crossman hollow point. I have shot several squirrels, rabbits and even raccoons. The quick follow up is nice and I can reach fifty yards accurately. For simplicity I have the Gamo swarm magnum gen 3i. The H&N pellets shoot best. If I need to punch through something like the skull of a raccoon the hornet is the pellet. Shoots accurately and punches into the skull for brain shots. I have made some lung shots but preferably I am making head shots. I have made extremely long shots and on the range finder 79 yards hitting a rabbit in the head. For squirrels I prefer the H&N terminator. For me it shoots better than the other H&N that really hits hard on squirrels. I have versatile hunting dogs that tree; I am shooting up at squirrels or raccoon. The shots are typically not easy because the animal is hiding. A lot of time at the top or surrounded by leaves or branches. Shot placement is a must and often you are shooting off hand or leaning your rifle against a tree. Great video! The rifle decides the pellet.

I shoot the crosman shockwave in .22. After extensive trial and error my go to pellets are the Stoeger X-Match 13.73 gr.  At 30 meters i can group  withen 1/2".  These may not be the best design for hunting but I know i can hit my mark.   Ive put a few big jack rabbits in the freezer with these pellets.
I'll continue to try other pellets but for now these are my favorite.
On this particular rifle I upgraded my scope ,ditching the cheep one that comes with the rifle, now  this is  a proper small game hunter..
I couldn't group tighter that 2 inches before that.

Gamo swarm magnum .22 using H&N Baracuda Hunter Extreme

One pellet that I can not get to shoot accurate in any of my guns is the H&N Silverpoint pellet.  I havce shot them in 22 cal and 25 cal and they don't shoot worth a dam.  I'm an H&N shooter so when I say they don't shoot worth a dam, they really don't, (at least out of my guns) and I tried them at different speeds and still the same results.  I have the H&N Terminators, hunters, hunter extremes crow magnum, Baracudas, Excite.  and slugs.  I also have the JSB Hades and the JSB Heavies, FX Atomic and FX Hybyrds and the Polymags in all calibers and they all shoot dam good outta my guns.  I stock 8-10 cans of each pellet in both 22, and 25 cal because I ran out once and with these tariffs driving the price up, I made sure not to let it happen again.  (yeah I could probably open a store) lol  Also have about 5-6 different cans of 30 and 35 cal ammo.  If I had it to do all over again, I would just buy 22 and 25 cal rifles because they will handle anything I go after, and the ammo is cheaper to shoot.  My 30 and 35 cal mostly serve as protection for the home.  Just for the record, my guns are the FX Impact and crown, the Sidewinder, Hatsan Hercules bullies, Hatsan Neutron Stars, and flash, the Sumatras, and lastly the Air Venturi Avengers and Kral Pit bull.  Not trying to brag, my problem was I brought the guns when they first came out and fell in love with their different capabilities and then it became a hobby that I still enjoy till this day.  Keeps me from being stressed out.  Just wish I knew how to break them down and work on them  lol

I’ve never had gun that preferred H&N.  Hornets are cool though…

I use hollow point ammo 95% of the time and it works fine for me.  My go to pellets in 22 cal are the Terminator, the hunter, the polymag and hornet.  All work just fine for my guns.  In 25 cal its the hunter, hunter extreme, polymag, hornets  and the crow magnum (believe it or not)  The JSB hollow points are also good in 22 and 25 cal.  Slugs are ok but I'm basically a pellet shooter using hollow point ammo because they have knock down power and rips vital parts to stop prey on a dime.  My guns are all pcp's and are tuned to shoot between 950 to 995 fps depending on what I'm hunting.

😊🎉

That was very helpful. It took a lot of mystery out of airgun shooting. Thanks.

I have several different calibre air rifles but being in the UK it’s a lot harder to have bigger calibre air rifles. If you don’t have a rifle license you can’t have them because you don’t get the power from it. They’re all stuck at 12 foot pound so I use a Diana storm rider With FX hybrid slugs. And the gun absolutely loves them or I have my 9 mm Ed-gun Leshiy in sub 12 that absolutely destroys rats at 20 yards

What to stop human with 80joules?  .25.  hollow slug?

My next. small hand. BB gun. I'll get that ,with my next pension pay😊
