For the 2nd row I am unable to get 72 stitches. As u mentioned, the chain does not count as 1, so I only have 22 hdc + 28 chains + 21 hdc.
Do we put in the 22nd stich in the slip stich of the first row?

So I finished it awhile ago and gave it to my 10 year old niece... The chains didn't hold up when she stuffed her phone, lip gloss, pack of sour patch kids, and wallet in it 😅
But very cute aesthetic!
