I've always wondered how on earth Poundstretcher are still going, there was a documentary on Channel 4 a few years ago where Chris Edwards (from this Poundworld series) got hired by them to help out but even he gave up 🤣
Chester's market closed down in 2022 and was replaced with an overpriced "trendy" foodhall next door instead. Aged well this, hasn't it? Small silver lining in that the "two-to-three-poundland" also closed down!
It's all too easy to blame the big, bad, retailer, for your failure...but at the end of the day, it's your customers who choose to go elsewhere. And there would have been a "before" you too...a business that no longer exists, because you now do. He's right, it's evolution!
