The plastic over the fibreglass is a great trick. I think I used house wrap plastic for most of mine because I had it laying around. Peelply works well if you want a fough surface, but then you do get epoxy on your rollers.

The tank looks awesome and I get what you mean about running in circles... You think, "If I'm going to do this then I should do this first, but I need this part to do that, and I need this other part to see how that part will fit" and so on... Sometimes you need to be willing to make mistakes or willing to do some things that may need to be undone, just to finish one big part of a project. Good on you for recognizing this.

I’m going to do some fiberglass work on a my ski this winter, and I need all the advice I can get to learn.

What happened to that hull? Was it lightened or something?
