We're at Baita Alpe Seccio, a refuge immersed in the nature of Val Cavaione, in Valsesia, Piedmont. After a long closure, the refuge is reopening thanks to the commitment of a young couple, Maddalena and Mattia, who chose to embark on this adventure with passion and authenticity. Through Maddalena's voice, we discover the interior spaces of the refuge, the rooms ready to welcome hikers and travelers, and the local products that tell the story of the region. The video offers a candid glimpse into what the refuge has to offer: simple hospitality, human warmth, and a conscious return to the mountains. It's a story of rebirth, of courageous choices, and of love for places that deserve to be experienced and shared.

🚶‍♂️ To reach Baita Alpe Seccio, the recommended starting point is the village of Boccioleto. From there, you can follow the Art Trail no. 387, a well-marked hiking trail that passes through historic hamlets such as Ronchi, Ormezzano, and Solivo, all the way to the mountain pasture.

Travel time: 2–2.5 hours on foot
Difficulty: Hiking (E), suitable for those with a minimum level of fitness

🚗 If you want to shorten the route, you can drive up to Ormezzano (956 m) and continue on foot from there, reducing the walking time to about 1 hour.
