I'm a 2100. I tried this opening out and caught another 2100 with it on my first try lol. Definitely sticking with this opening.

This was awesome, D4 fo life🤘🏼a video on the benko gambit from whites side next would be sweet

This is really really well outthought. Espacially the inaccuracy threat to go inbetween Lb5+  with either one undeveloped minor piece wich is so human...... really thankful for that. And for people over average 1800 you still have a favorable opening that for me i am going to look up more and make this my playstyle!
I am really thankful! Krep up

That's why I play c5 on the first move and play e6 in the middle game so I have no weakness on d6 and can peacfully go for b5 or e6

Thank you for the video this is a good opening in my opinion there's alot of tactics you can use with this.

Me ha encantado! Ultimamente siempre juego el gambito de dama y buscaba como jugar contra la beroni :P Saludos desde Oslo :)

as a benoni player I spend alot of my free Time just memorizing the taimanov which made me love my son of sorrow even more its full of ideas and patterns that once you know you get alot better tactically and strategically too

If you play the Benoni regularly then you know how to react to the Taimanov. It is white's most direct try so the forcing sequences are quite easy to learn. The line with 8...Nbd7; 9. e5 de; 10. fe Nh5; 11. e6 Qh4+ is quite a famous one that illustrates well that white's king is actually exposed. While the Computers say this is great for white, practical games have shown that black's chances are at least equal except at the very top level. In other words, you have to know this line if you play 7. f4. It is not enough to say "This is very good". An example of how easy it is as white to lose is the well-known game Lautier-Ivanchuk 1995. I strongly recommend a deeper look before playing this variation.

Awesome vid dude! a

Ive been enjoying the benoni lately, please dont teach people to beat me :(

Thank you. 🍻

I never went e6 right away after white advance. I go g6. Then d6. Then bish g7. Then enrook. Then e6. I only go e6 right away if white eats.

Nice!

Balloni Gambit...kkkkkk..

I just played a ton of 30 second matches against a 1900 rated player today and I've learned how to play against it pretty decently lol. I'm a 750 rated bullet player btw. Definitely a fun opening to play against imo.

Awesome

The thing is though, this is the first variation a Benoni player studies

1 year later this video shows up the day everyone is playing the Benoini against Jobava London.  Not all my games go this direction but the general ideas here have my win rate between 60-70%.  Thank you for the video!!

Decades ago 8...Nbd7?! was a topical line. It is tricky and Black gets some play, but it is refuted by 9.e5!, e.g. 9... dxe5 10.fxe5 Nh5 11.e6 Qh4+ 12.g3 Nxg3 13.hxg3 Qxh1 14. Be3 Bxc3+ 15. bxc3 a6 (15...Qe4 16.Qd3) 16. exd7+ Bxd7 17.Bf1! (a little better than 17.Bxd7+) O-O 18.Kf2 Qe4 19.Bxc5 Rfc8 20.Qd4 Qc2+ 21.Ne2 Bb5 22. Rc1 Qxa2 23.Be7 (+2.5 Stockfish 18).

I love a Benoni sub...
