Monochrome Piano Version on the First Take is honestly a good follow up after reacting to the original. It really showcases how incredible Su's voice and control is, and that piano is chefs kiss

Asked in Interview aboit favourite lyric:
SU-METAL:"it’s a line in the song MONOCHROME: ‘No matter long the night the morning will arrive.’
“It has been a long night for all of us. For us, it was difficult to perform live and even meet people,” she explains. “Some people are still fighting through this difficult situation. But everyone is gradually returning back into their daily lives. I want to encourage people to keep their chin up and have faith that a brighter future will come even if the sky is pitch black.”

Nice reaction! The song "Monochrome" is one of my favorite songs with beautiful melody, very positive lyrics, SU's great voice, and MOA&MOMO's choreography, all perfect!🦊💖

This was at PIA Arena in Yokohama in April 2023. I was lucky enough to be there for this performance and I can't even put into words just how spectacular this show was. The moment where they they came together and Su hummed and the crowd sang it back was pure magic. Of all the Babymetal shows I have been to "Babymetal Begins" is my favourite.

Babymetal do use back tracks pretty heavily for Moa and Momo's parts, but I'm pretty sure that it's layered with their live vocals as well.

There are a couple of songs that are worth watching the music video for, but most of the time the live shows are way more interesting.

You should definitely check out "Ijime, Dame Zettai" and "Headbanger". Actually, you should check out their entire catalogue, there aren't any bad songs. My personal number one favourite Babymetal song is "Yava!", so consider this a request for that one.

I was never surprised that I enjoyed Babymetal, as I've always loved metal with clean vocals. I am however really surprised at how much I enjoy watching 3 japanese girls dance on a stage :D It's so cool ^^

Awesome reaction as always!

Great reaction, Abi-metal! I'm so happy that you enjoyed this performance! The piano version of "Monochrome" on "The First Take" youtube channel is amazing and you get to hear Moa sing live too, so I hope you react to that one eventually! Thank you! 🤘🦊🤘

Moa and Momoko‘s parts are supported by a backing track most of the time. There are times when they are 100% live, and other times it’s 100% backing track, but usually it’s a combination of both. At least that’s my personal impression.
Those catchy and easy to follow choruses are no coincidence. They make it as easy as possible for the audience to be part of the performance, while considering that there is often a language barrier. The Fox God leaves nothing to chance.
I have been listening to BABYMETAL every day since 2017, and Su‘s voice still gives me shivers. It’s honestly the most beautiful sound I have come across in my 50 years on the planet.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。As an eyewitness to BABYMETAL shows more than 20 times and an amateur musician (trumpeter / flugelhornist), I can guarantee that Su's voice is real without help of back track. I hardly heard her voice crack or go off pitch, but it does happen on actual stage because she is a human being.  Voices from two dancers, Moa & Momo are processed or recorded ones in some way occasionally. If you want to know Su's pitch accuracy, please try "Monochrome Piano ver." in YouTube.
I witnessed this very performance at the venue where and when Momoko was inducted into BABYMETAL officially. Yes, she had a headset mic for the first time like Moa has had since BM's inception.  I sang the ♪ oh oh ohoo ♪ part with Momometal with my loudest voice in the show holding my phone. What a bliss!
The flying drones with cameras that enabled the beautiful aerial cinematograph were manipulated by experts including Ms. Shiraishi. She is a member of Team Japan for World Drone Racing Championship.
Our Kami Band played in the girls' back. They have supported BABYMETAL since 2019. Japanese fans always appreciate the devoted support like knights by Chris, CJ, Anthony, Clint and Ryan. They are really unsung heroes. 😍

I think you get now why many were suggesting this song live at pia first. That break with the flashlights was awesome

From what i heard, was this the first official concert for Momometal as a permanent Member. You can see it in one scene 8:38 where she stands further away and Su is telling her come here, you are babymetal now(with looking at her hehe)

Saw this live in Toronto and the turn-on-your-light part was incredible live. Incredible.

great reaction...next you must hearing again BabyMetal "From Dusk Till Down" is very unique and great voice from Su Metal...❤❤❤🦊🦊🦊

Congratulations on 1K. An awesome performance. The voice of angels😇😇😇. This gets me in the feels every time🥲.  🦊🦊🦊    🖖❤

IF you're going to do Ijime Dame Zettai, do the live ant Sonisphere version, It's known as the Miracle at Sonisphere and there's a huge story behind it. Someone else will provide that because they explain it better than me ;)

There are 2 potential Road of Resistance vids.. one called "Live in Japan" from 9 years ago, and one from this concert (that you just saw in the video). I would vote for the 9 years ago one because it's EPIC. They're so young and they completely dominate the stage. Both are great though.

By the way there were subtitles on this one, it's a great song (I don't know that you had them on) And the First Take version of this song also has them.

Wait no one has requested Elevator Girl?!  Shoot, that's one of my favorite Babymetal songs... consider this an official request!
I really hope you get to go to a show eventually.  It's absolutely worth whatever it takes to get there.
And congrats on 1,000!

All good picks, can't really go wrong at this point. If you're interested in something where it focuses heavily on Su's voice the Monochrome piano ver on The First Take channel is great.

Your reaction is hilarious, I love it. 😂 By the way for me, Monochrome is the most beautiful song of Babymetal. I feel like crying right now. It's so beautiful and emotional if you read the lyrics. 😭 By the way, I think you should react to "The not so extensive Guide  of Babymetal (April 1st 2024)" to learn more about them. 😊

Oh wow, I had to turn on closed captioning to understand what you were saying. Your voice is really low in the video. The audio from the music was good though , and congrats on 1000 sub's the Kitsunes know a good reactor when they see one 🦊🤘

Good morning, and thanks for the reaction. As others have mentioned, Monochrome piano ver. First take. its worth watching this song both live, and MV, also the first take version.

After over 10 years as a group, Babymetal has gone through many changes in its music and lineup of members and musicians in the Kami Band. As an OG fan, i appreciate the fact that they are attracting new fans with their current music and collaborations. But if you really want to dive into the history of what Babymetal was in the beginning and their incredible journey to where they are now, you MUST start at the beginning. The Yuimetal era. So far you've done reactions to recent songs from their latest album, The Other One, and one song from the album Metal Galaxy, their third album. Start at the VERY beginning. Their very first single, Doki Doki Morning. Do the Music video first, as you will get to see them as they were when they were kids. The ORIGINAL trio. And then work your way up.  Ijime Dame Zettai, iine, Catch Me If You Can, the original Headbangerrr!!!. See them as we saw them at the beginning of their journey to becoming superstars. And when i say react to these songs, if you're doing live versions, do videos that are prior to 2017. Not that the performances after 2018 aren't good, it's just it's not the original lineup, which is the point of doing the older videos😅. Pretty soon you'll be ready to dive into those Babymetal Guide videos.
