“No pony had murdered in hundreds of years.”

Wow, love that realism there. Something deep to think about in a universe with technicolored magic horses. Just hearing a story like that in their world could cause trauma.

Celestia: Luna, are you sure it is wise to take a vacation from monitoring, dreams?
Luna: Dear sister, we are certain that it will be fine. What could possibly go wrong?
0:00 - 23:38

Luna:... Okay that one is on me.

For people asking where Luna was, this was written before her dream walking powers were established in the show.

Rainbow is holding a knife
And apparently, Pinkie hasn’t gotten the clue that something is wrong...

Rainbow Dash: Having constant nightmares
Luna: "I missed the part where that's my problem"

@atheistmando4976 8 years ago

Stories that bring a chill to my spine are usually psychological, This is no different. Having the capability to slip into madness takes a lot. But. This isn't a psycopath story. It is more or less to a sense of paranoia mixed with the loss of sanity, which is also a scary thing when you look into it.

Me: can't sleep
Always tired
Keeps having nightmares

Also me: ohhh a new grimdark I haven't heard!

Later that night....

Me: why must I torture myself?

No joke, TheLostNarrator who voice Rainbow dash did a great job. 17:43 That scream is a masterpiece.

@sunlight1611 8 years ago (edited)

I wonder where's Luna? It's her job to protect ponies from their nightmares. I could understand if Rainbow Dash would saw this nightmare only one time. But it was repetative. What the hell?
Anyway, I love Rocket to Insanity. My second favorite Creepypasta after Cupcakes.

"They are cartoon unicorns! How bad can the REALLY get?" Is what my friend told me when I told her about some 'My Little Pasta' Then I showed her something I learned about from 3 years ago. Cupcakes and Rocket to Insanity.

And the one where Twilight experiments on the main five.

Help

My friend stopped working.

Time to unplug her then plug her back in--

That wail/scream before she starts stabbing Pinkie was really good! :D

@dergs_and_stuff 6 years ago

Seeing the normally confident and proud Rainbow Dash turn anxious and paranoid and end up murdering her friend genuinely unsettled me and made me feel bad for Dash. The wails and crying were also a nice touch to the story, and the emotion in it is effective. Nice reading, Lost. ☺️

I can't help but to wonder if any neighbors had overheard any of this. Boy, that could be awkward!

I can imagine the scene with Rainbow holding Pinkie as the painting of Ivan the Terrible. Eyes filled with terror and remorse, a body with nothing but a whisper of what used to be life left in it, blood on both parties from the act of insanity. Its heartbreaking, haunting.
