Welcome! We’re so glad you are here! We are Sonja and Rob. Our beekeeping journey, not unlike many beekeepers, started with joining our local bee club, reading stacks of material, and seeking support. It wasn’t long before we realized we wanted to pursue a more natural and sustainable approach in our beekeeping. Collecting only local honey bees through swarm trapping and managing them in hives that closely mimicked their natural home, a tree cavity, the formation of Wild Hives LLC and the growth of the Wild Hives Community began.
