I'm a Park Ranger, and I'm finally telling the story nobody at the park wants to discuss.
For years, Section 17 was officially described as a dangerous area closed because of geological instability. But the old ranger records tell a very different story.
Rangers reported strange GPS readings, missing radio signals, impossible trail markers, unexplained headaches, and a compass that refused to point north. One old patrol log contained a single disturbing word: “Again.”
