I built a Viking Mandalorian helmet, but there’s a catch: it isn’t made of Beskar or steel. It’s 100% leather. In this long-form build, I’m combining the iconic Star Wars bounty hunter silhouette with traditional Norse flair. Whether you are a fan of The Mandalorian or a historical reenactor, this "Viking Mando" mashup explores how to turn vegetable-tanned leather into a piece of armor that looks like it survived a century of raids.

hi, a swedish viking here. exept for the morden metal sheet the helmet follow what a viking historicly "most likley" crafted. (most likley means that theres to few leather works tath survived the time in the earth for us to be 100% sure...) I love it! <3

Mandalorians are known for using beskar armor which is one of the toughest if not the most in the SW universe, so I think even though the chain mail is heavy, it is definitely the best equivalent to a Viking Mandalorian

This only things I would have done differently is wear a beanie or something like it before the seran wrap so that it's slightly bigger than my head so that A) the cheek guards don't rub when being put on, and B) there's enough room to add some padding so it works better as an actual helmet

Best part: watching you put cling film around your noggin and then covering it with duct tape! But honestly, epic helmet! The chain mail will elevate it to legendary!
