The entire album is a masterpiece.

Ray passed away the month they finally got into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

this song came out in '68 i was a kid and it's just not the same to me without the poem at the end ("Cold-hearted orb that rules the night,
Removes the colors from our sight. Red is gray and yellow white, But we decide which is right. And which is an illusion?"). if you want more flute try Jethro Tull same time period little more rockish. another song by the Moody Blues to consider is "Tuesday afternoon". Peace

RIP Ray Thomas one of the best flutist in the world.🎉🎉🎉🎉

@JustJuLivingLife  Justin Hayward wrote this song when he was 19 he had near to this time have a girlfriend give him Satin Sheets but it turned out to be more of a parting gift and I think he may have still had feelings for her many years after. This song was written originally with the Orchestral part at the end and on the Album followed with a spoken part at the end. That Album was the first Progressive/Concept Album which was commissioned by a recording involved company (I think a Home Audio company) which wanted a Audio demonstration Album. The album follows the day in the life of either someone or just a full day. For Instance one of the other hits from this Album is Tuesday Afternoon. It's amazing that this Album started the Progressive/Concept Album idea from a commissioned Album.

Justin Hayward never needed auto tune.❤ He is still touring an acoustic show at 79, all of the other members have passed away.

Thie studio version of this  song was released in 1967 (the same year as Procul Harum's 'Whiter Shade of Pale - watch the live version in Denmark) and was great but this version and the live version of 'Whiter Shade of Pale are stupendous as the orchestras and choirs  give more depth to both songs.

You need to get closer to your mic or turn up the gain.

I'd subscribe to your channel if you talk louder. I can barely hear you.
