My favourite part about this whole thing is that Dougdoug LITERALLY has a machine called “The Twitch Chat Eliminator” that could have solved most of his issues in a couple of seconds.

The absolute best part of this video that isn't mentioned at all is that on this day, Twitch decided to plaster his entire face alongside others for a convention he was attending on its front page, and clicking him on their banner took him to his stream...
which simply told you to "please leave."

What a day to Twitch.

@KoniFights 1 year ago

Doug saying “eventually people will leave” just bc it was a black screen for thirty mins is funny to me bc obviously he hasn’t seen RTGames watching paint dry stream video

@koelee 1 year ago

The thing Doug doesn't understand is that closing the restaurant usually does reduce the number of occupants, UNLESS "closing the restaurant" just means locking all of the doors while everyone is still inside.

Doug has THE MOST counterintuitive ideas for his streams/videos. From deleting 10 random viewers every so often DURING A CHARITY STREAM, to deleting a video when it reaches 1mill views, to finally this

8:28 i love that doug consistently underestimates twitch chat's stubbornness like we didnt sit and watch absolutely nothing for like two hours just for the bit

@Pixel000 1 year ago

I'm actually shocked this was made into a video, it was literally an hour of a black screen. I'm not complaining though, this stream was hilarious

@BagelsNSyrup 1 year ago

The best part of this stream was that Doug then made it so the stream would end when the viewers dropped under 10000, and the stream went on for around 6 hours and only ended because Doug kept raiding people

RTGame: peak viewership on a "Watching paint dry" stream
DougDoug: peak viewership on a stream with limited stream capacity

what a life

@TeknightJ 1 year ago

I find it hilarious that at the end, Doug summarizes his accomplishments, and even then, they're exaggerated. Doug didn't even boil the butter, it was sitting on a pan vaguely near a heat source for 45 minutes.

@Supahslm 1 year ago

I love the second the bouncer talked about 'fantasizing' you can literally watch the single moment of worry in Doug's face before it clarifies that it's referring to owning a dinosaur as a pet.

@courtneyevie 1 year ago

honestly this just goes to show the loyalty of doug's viewers. even if the content is literally a blank screen with doug actively screaming at people to leave and go watch a different stream, they'll still stick around and watch.

actually, i don't know if that's loyalty or defiance but... it goes to show something.

@soosuj 1 year ago

Hitting his top viewership in a "joke" stream is so in character for Doug, and staying in the stream because funny is so in character for chat

@DoomerSlice 1 year ago

6:46 thank you editor, I always wonder if someone actually says these chat messages and it's great to see that NO, sometimes there ISN'T anyone saying that.

i caught the last half of this stream while i was delirious with a fever. The ear destruction and fakeout ending of the stream genuinely fucked up my mental for weeks, 10/10 absolute cinema

1:52 is a completely accurate description of what being a host in the restaurant industry is like. 10/10 content

The DougDoug channel is now a theater not a Twitch channel, limited places.

@daandanx 1 year ago

A sequel to RT's 'watching paint dry' video. Unironically though, this is a really good showcase that the main focus and hook of this channel is the streamer, not the game, which is brilliant.
