Master of saying a lot without saying anything at all

I miss rightclick. Most fun and fair ability in his kit. Also he just doesn't have any midgame anymore. Legit removed all his range pressure

😊 yes please keep producing more roadhog videos I would like to see you use his new ability a lot more please use the frosty skin the next time you play hog.☃️ If you're willing.

I think all he really needs now are number tweaks. I see the vision for the rework and honestly even in its current state, it's fun as hell.

Firstly, remove the movement penalty of his succ, completely unnecessary. Secondly, maybe increase the regen of his vape. Not enough that he can rely on it too much, but atm it feels way too slow to rely upon in a teamfight of even average length.

Lastly, I think he needs an audio prompt, a very recognizable audio prompt for his team, for when he hooks someone in. Make it so impossible to ignore that it's ingrained into players as a "DINNERTIME!" sound. Honestly, making the sound be a literal dinnerbell that hog rings for his team to pounce on whoever is hooked is very on theme for how chaotic and unhinged the Junkers are.

Criticizing fire rate and fall off on a shotgun for a tank that can  one shot with just one to two left clicks is interesting. What is the alternative?

Right click needed to go, there's no reason for a tank to do that much bullshit damage from range, even worse that tank being hog, BUT we can also mourn the loss of the mechanic which was really cool and hopefuly they will bring it back on an actual DPS hero.

Better tldr: They gave hog a defense matrix

The character with the most health and a giant self heal should’ve never had a one shot combo to begin with. And if he did, it needed to be much harder to execute. I’m sorry but hog was a low skill cheese character most seasons. He’s actually designed pretty great at moment. Hook is a kill about half the time now and he has an actual team beneficial tank ability.

I think the "problem" with new hog is that you can't solo carry games anymore. He falls into the other tanks being tools not to lose/enablers, wich very much diminishes agency in trying to win. You rely much more on dps performance than before, wich is in line with the tank physolophy as a whole, but it's really bad for the character itself, since people usually picked him for this reason.

They dulled him.

I think I actually like this hog however I was never good at using his alt fire so that's probably why. Trash compactor really helps in a lot of matchups. Get slept by ana and she anti's you when you wake up? Trash compactor the followup damage which stalls just enough for you get a breather off afterwards. You can also bait her cooldowns with it too if ur close enough to kill her which is nice.

Bastion feels a LOT easier to deal with. If he ever tries to turret form you just eat his damage and throw it back at him. Mauga actually has to respect Hog now because you can eat his shout damage and make him fall over. Orisa is.... still kind of annoying sadly. I've seen Orisa players adapt and save their spin for trash compactor which kind of nullifies its value. Aside from that he's still good vs the doom/ball players though he doesn't kill them quite as quick anymore. Overall, I've had fun with him but you definitely want to still ban Orisa/Ana when you can. Mauga feels at least doable now.

Ngl I have a lot of fun with it

double fire sucks, its becomes so boring and repetitive instantly, I hope they reverse it back to single stronger shot with tighter spray

I wish we could also get Pigpen back tho... on weapon switch...

He did not need that rework. People just didn’t wanna learn how to play around him and believe me he has a lot of counters and a lot of the game’s roster can annoy him. He was completely fine with his old gun and hook whether it was 5v5 or 6v6. It’s the dev’s fault for adhering to low level players who don’t wanna learn instead of the actual playerbase. Hog was the only reason why I kept playing this game and now it’s ggs.

Hog was way too strong but even with the small nerfs hes even stronger now like what was blizzard thinking.
