I've had an F800ST for 12 months.  Agree with all you said in the video.  For the money...excellent bike.

Just bought a 2011 F800ST in May. Absolutely love it. Had a '98 K75c until 2015. Took some adjustment going from shaft to belt drive but all in all very happy.

You are right , it‘s a great bike.
Changed the mirrors from the front to the bar
(mirrors from a F800R), so you‘ll have a much better sight of rear traffic.

I got my 2006 F800ST last August. I drove  abt 1.100 mls til October. I was surprised about the good felling in such a short time. Before the F800ST i had 2 K75C (1989-1992)(1992-2025) with their smooth 3 cyl engine. Both died after i was crashed.
The rumble from the parallel twin is very good reduced. New for me to turn the engine not to too low which was no problem for my K75s.
I guess i will drive my F800ST til the end of my biker time. Now i am 67 years old. For city and around use i take my Honda Dax ST125 .

Got mine for going off-road. I had a couple 650 on-off road bikes, too slow on the highway. The st800 goes off road fine with bags and light enough to handle. I stay out of mud but she handles trails just fine. I wish first gear was a little lower but I can manage with it like it is

Just bought one, I think you live near where I work, I was thinking ‘crap he’s had his last one nicked’ 😮 so I’ll be getting some extra security. Great vlog, gave me some good tips..

They are GOOD bikes, boring, but good! heated grips, comfortable even for midgets or giants, no chain to manage, long service intervals etc... good video, sad your other one got stolen (hope insurance covered some). Cheers!

nice video Tom, love my ST, great allrounder. And yes, I also had to dismantle the whole thing to change a lightbulb. My belt went bad at about 34k, still the original one from 2009, that happened suddenly, once one tooth breaks, the others follow quickly, not a nice sensation. Lesson learned.

Just bought GT and can’t wait to start properly riding it. Was reading that stator is a weak link on these, have you changed yours?

whats it ride like. on long journeys   and in the twisties ?  much vibration ?  necessary to adjust belt  or does it auto tension ?

Great bike.I got mine with double that miles. Top box is better for filtering.Can't fit a helmet in the side bags. Delkevic makes a good exhaust for a good price, if the Singer sowing machine sound gets old:).
