Gimme the skinny on the starships!!!

Custom Rig, a sonic screwdriver.
Got it

I know you've linked to the video of MythicODM going through the part of the book about Tactical Starship Combat. But I still highly recommend the next video you do on Tech Core covers this new system. ThrabenU has already covered both classes, the spells, archetypes, ancestries and even items in the book in depth. That just leaves Tactical Starship Combat as the big missing piece for Tech Core coverage. And while I personally have the time to watch, zoom in, and take notes of the system from MythicODM's video, not everyone else does. A more succinct, well-edited video about the system would be highly appreciated.

I think Paizo wanted more time to cook the classes and all the items; just my personal take.

Mechanic I definitely expected to be my favourite thing from this video but Viper Technomancer just sounds so versatile and cool!

...As soon as I get my hands on the book (or rather, its PDF), I am building Ziggy Woog from Stardust Rhapsody Anthem as either a FortRUN or Viper technomancer.

God i cant wait for technomancer. Class as a whole feels like wizard+, viper subclass feels like viper++

Archetyping a class because it's base feats are weak feels like some people are really trying to bring back 1e class dips to make certain classes more viable.

Great vid! Thanks

Thanks for the great review!  I have already ordered the book.

About 2actions for 3 actions to companion, class-wise yea its inventor only, but beast master archetype also gives that as an option.

lovin the content!

Starfinder 1E had you choose from either a Exocortex or a Drone, as part of the Artificial Intelligence feature.
Where the Exocortex was a self-modification you could outfit with a shield generator. And the drone was more like a modifiable construct companion.
And for the purposes of recreating my old SRO character in 2E, I don't want a drone, turret, or mine, as I just want something close to the old Exocortex.   :3

I’ve been running a playtest Viper Technomancer in Starfinder Society since last September. I’ve enjoyed it quite a bit.

I got them to level four already. I’m looking forward to rebuilding him with the new rules.

24:43 There is a funny thing you can do with spell chips where after installing into a comm unit, you can use a uniclamp to clamp it to your weapon of choice to then cast the spell in the chip.

Edit: At 27:16 and 27:22, the two feats described largely line up with some Wizard abilities. Overclock Spell Cache (6th level feat) corresponds to Wizard's Drain Bonded Item (which they get at 1st level), and the 14th level feat Cache Spell is analogous to Wizard's 14th level feat Superior Bond. Overclock Spell Cache would need you to cast a spell in your cache (your subclass' spell list + any expansions gained from feats), and the same goes for Cache Spell. In contrast, Wizard's Drain Bonded Item lets you recast one spell that you've already cast from your prepared spell slots.

Thanks for the video!

Great video, been really looking forward to these classes to really fill out the party's skill set.

From what I understand, the Tech Core should also have more details about starship gameplay mechanics, since the GM Core only handled "Cinematic" Encounters. How in-depth does the Tech Core go into starship mechanics? I've been basically homebrewing a ruleset focused around emulating the video game FTL: Faster Than Light but in Starfinder 2e, but I'm not sure how much the official material may change my homebrew plans; I want my version to be compatible at least.

Voe 500 mines upon ye!

tech core mind as well be player core 2 lite for starfinder

Can you go over the Livestream updates in Tech core? Feats were included, so Im hoping explanations were updated.
Like Hit Record's preview says you need it to do ANYTHING but there are other feats used while live streaming that don't require Hit Record and doing something includes "anything".

Uhmmm I am here for tactical starship combat.....darn.
