Thanks for these suggestions. I am always looking for shorter books to read and enjoy!

Hi Paula: So excited to add these to my TBR! Who doesn't love an excellent, "short" book! One of my read-it-in-a-weekend favourites is by Canadian author Susan Coyne. It is called "Kingfisher Days." It recounts Susan's experiences in the summer of 1963 at her family's summer cottage on Lake of the Woods. It clocks in at 170 pages. Thanks for another really enjoyable video! 📚

I have read Fortnight in September. I wasn't able to read another book for several days because I reveled in the book and digested it delightfully. It's as if I also went for a vacation with my own family. It's relaxing and comforting for all the world's stresses and tribulations. I think I also stopped watching the news during that time! ❤!

I love the Alexander Mc Call Smith series. I am hooked on three of them . The Isabel Dalhousie series , 44 Scotland Street series and the No 1 Ladies Detective Agency series. This author has to be writing 24 hours a day , 7 days a week. I just cannot explain how awesome these series are and I am in the process of reading two of the current Dalhousie books. The books just get better and better as you move thru the series. You just feel like the characters are real people and you get to share their lives. These books never disappoint .Take your time reading them. There is so much goodness and wisdom .

Your Assistant rolling in the rear is a fine little helper!🎉 I am now reading the Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey, a sad, touching, beautifully written and fairy tale. Will not say more ❤

The weatherman has promised me the rainy 🌧 weekend this week. I think the R.C. Sheriff book sounds interesting but I don't have access to it. Loved 84 Charring... I was fortunate to get the opportunity to borrow Emma M. Lyons books so I'm enjoying my journey through those. I also found someone reading Miss Read books on YouTube. Very happy about that find. :) :) I always enjoy "bookish" videos. 📚📚📚📚📚📚📚

Your recommendations are so cozy and lovely. A Tree Grows in Brooklyn was absolutely beautiful ❤

I DID enjoy this Paula, thank you. Wrote down quite a few, have quite a few unread! 84 Charring Cross Rd. is SUCH a favorite of mine. I bought it when I was a teen! Have the movie also. The same for CRANFORD. Judi Dench is PERFECT in it!🤗 There is a continuance of CRANFORD and I have that also. Not sure if it is Part 2 ? Have a good reading wknd😊

What a grea idea for a list. Some of these books are also some of my favorite feel-good movies. I can't believe you haven't at least see Ann Bancroft and Anthony Hopkins in 84 Charing Cross Road. So beautiful.

84, Charing Cross Rd is both a wonderful book and movie. Anne Bancroft and Anthony Hopkins are fabulous in the movie. Lovely suggestions all, thank you, Paula.🧡🍁🧡🍂📚☕️🕯

I love the Thursday Murder Club books! What a great suggestion for this list, Paula. I have never heard of Lorac, so I appreciate your mentioning that one. I will have to see if I can track down a copy. I have read pretty much everything on your list, but not that one. Thanks again for a wonderful video!

Ruth Rendell’s A Judgement in Stone is a good one, a crime novel of around 200 pages.

Great video, love this idea, will make a note of a few of these, thank you Paula! 😊 📚
