For someone who is contemplating entering one of these matches, these videos are super helpful. Appreciate the candor and love the content.

When spotting, instead of saying “missed right” say “0.5 mil right” or “come left a half target” it seemed like the wind may have been switching on you some, but those kind of comms will help. Also, confirm your wind call with the spotter as you take it. Like “holding 0.5 mil left” then that keeps you guys on the same page.
Backing up on dope helps too. Jace struggled on those early stages with wrong dope, and a quick check from Michael could have helped with that. Glad to see you guys getting to some matches! They’re addicting

Poring water over rounds @ 23:01 😮 😳 That's a good way to hydro-lock a spent casing in the chamber. Then, 9 out of 10 times, you'll need compressed air or just wait for it to dry on its own. Even trying to drive it out with a rod is futile. I hydro-locked on the 1st round of last stage in Decorah, Iowa earlier this year. That was due to rain. But, water is water regardless if its from a bottle or the sky.
Better off throwing them in the stage cooler before shooting. A lot of matches have a cooler with water at each stage.

Out of curiosity on the last stage where it was foggy, what was your partner using for binocular LRF's? Was he also using the BX-6 to get accurate ranges when your BX-6 couldn't get them? Thank you

Anyone else getting frustrated at how the wife is spotting? Maybe he does it the same way, but I'm only noticing her at the moment, and its breaking me.. "Missed right" "Missed same spot" .. "Missed high, come down!" .. "Missed left!"... Dude, tell him how far he's missed by, give him precise corrections, as in, "Half a target left" or "2 o clock of the target 3 tenths!".. "Come down 5 tenths!".. "Missed, come 3 tenths right!" That, might help a little at least, but the information she's currently telling him is not telling him anything.

Great video guys! I think you guys are getting beat up by your equipment a little bit, those Howa 1500 barrled actions you get for such a great deal on Brownells have issues. I have had so many misfires and accuracy issues with the one I had for a few years I just finally gave up. I have since switched to Tikka and majically all those problems just disappeared. I had no idea it was the rifle the entire time I thought it was me being an inconsistant shooter, it cost me a lot of time and money to figure that out.

I watched a few videos and I really would like to join in on the NRL fun. I have a question for you sir or
anyone in here. I have a 22" Ruger gen 2 in a 243 caliber, 11 and change lb set up. Do any guys use a 243 or should I buy a 6.5creedmore?

Thank god they aren’t actually hunting or there’d be a whole herd wounded and gut shot 😂😂😂 it’s not about just hitting the target it’s about shot placement in the vitals for a ethical kill and to not damage as much meat as possible I’m more interested if you can make a ethical shot in the vitals first shot At those ranges now that would be impressive
