This video shows the arrival and departure of trains at Nankai Namba Station (Namba Station) during the weekday evening rush hour (approximately 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM). It features the Nankai Main Line's "Southern" limited express, express, semi-express, and local trains, as well as the "Rapit" limited express and Airport Express trains that connect directly to the Airport Line (Kansai Airport).
A Southern limited express train with all eight cars in its restored livery, consisting of a 10000 series and a 7100 series, was also seen.
The video also includes footage of one Southern limited express train and one Airport Express train bound for Wakayama Port, which only run a few times a day.
Namba Station, the terminal station for Nankai Electric Railway, has a 9-platform, 8-track layout serving both the Koya Line and the Nankai Main Line. This video, however, focuses almost exclusively on Nankai Main Line trains, filmed from platforms 5-9 (the disembarking platform), with only a few Koya Line trains visible on the adjacent platform.
Platforms 8 and 9 share the same track; facing towards Wakayama, platform 8 is on the left and platform 9 is on the right. When the Rapit train arrives, only the doors on platform 9 open; otherwise, only the doors on platform 8 open. The lighting on platform 9, where the Rapit train arrives, is different, using warm-toned lighting.
Platforms 5 through 8 are only used for 8-car trains, and there's a fence at the end to prevent entry. Therefore, when filming 8-car trains, the front section was filmed from the side, just barely.
(There are no fences on the disembarking platform between platforms 4 and 5, where the Koya Line also stops.)
