Met Little Jimmy Dickens several times at restaurant in Lexington, TN. So nice. Im 5 feet tall. He said you didn't lack much and we couldve got married. Here comes his wife laughing, she's much taller than the both of us. Funny. Great guy!

Heard this music all the time. My dad was born in 1940 and he grew up with this music also. I love it! Brings back alot of memories between him and I. Happy Heavenly Fathers Day Daddy. ❤

I loved hearing the ladies sing Silver Thread and Golden Needles. ❤️

Listening to this WONDERFUL music and stories from North East Texas ...March 2026 ... thanks for the memories ❤❤

Back in 1988 I was 25 my friend and I went to Nashville from Utah.  During that trip we went to the Minnie Pearl museum.  I got to meet and have pictures taken with her while we were there.  We then went to Opryland and played then went to the Opry.  While walking in I noticed this little short guy with this tall woman.  I thought that looked odd to me.  Then during the opry here comes in Little Jimmy Dickens.  That is when I realized he was part of the couple I saw while walking in.

It's obvious Boxcar Willie was not feeling well. He was a giant in the industry.
