“Tapestry” gasps 😂❤

It was fun rewatching this again with your reactions 😂❤ personally I can't wait to play this, and see this game i love in so much more detail

Am absolutely stoked for this remake! It was so pretty! Definitely excited to hear more of your all's thoughts after playing it!

As soon as you two wished for a concert in Melbourne I got THE biggest smile on my face, knowing what was coming 😁

LOVE the enthusiasm you two are showing, as it's how I felt inside when I had to watch this direct quietly at my work desk.

Just discovered this channel today and love the energy you guys bring already! Watched a few of your other vids and it’s so cool to see your passion for the franchise. Supporting all the way from Florida 😁

Always wanted to play OoT, just couldn’t deal with the camera on the n64 version, so the new camera in the remake is a godsend

Happy 40th 😭💜💜💜💜

Absolutely epic!!!

I absolutely loved the Direct. I was able to preorder the Switch 2, Pro Controller, game for the wave 1 foil case and the carry case. I’m definitely going to the concert in Melbourne for sure

I've already pre-ordered the 40th anniversary Switch 2 and pro controller ✌😌

I have no nostalgia for this because we were too poor to afford new games so I basically played old systems and whatever games I could borrow so its really sweet getting to experience it through your eyes. Gonna sub to watch you guys play through it.

So happy the first concert location in Australia is Melbourne for you two! The first one in the US is not close enough for me by a long shot so I have to anxiously await further details as it gets closer to tickets going on sale, keeping my fingers crossed!
On to the remake: I love the way the environment looks but I am admittedly still a bit iffy on some of the character and item models, I think it will grow on me in time as I get used to it though.
OoT was my first Zelda game so the original look has been ingrained in me for many years now and it's a big adjustment, it actually released a little under a year later from when I was born so I definitely have a strong attachment to the original.
My older brother would play it when he looked after me as a toddler so they're some of my earliest memories from even before I was old enough to play myself and I'm really excited for this remake. It means a lot to me (and many other Zelda fans of course) and I can't wait to play it in November!
I'm happy enough just managing to land a physical copy in the first place so I wont be too disappointed if I don't end up with it... but I do hope we all managed to get the special foil cases with our pre-orders, here's hoping for all of us!

12:42 - Why do so many people misunderstand what he's saying there?  He explicitly says that it is different from games like Breath of the Wild that are open-world.

I don't own to switch 2 but now this is making me hard to decide if I wanna switch two or not. I probably would not get it at lunch

I went DIRECTly to this channel to see if there was a reaction!

I love how Aussies say 'H'. Hello from Canada.

Maddie can go to the museum

The best way I can put it is that all the characters look kind of like puppets, like their from the Dark Crystal.

My biggest gripe from what we’ve seen of the game so far is Zelda’s design. She probably looks a lot better in her adult form, but something about the way her eyes look felt really wrong. Which is weird, because she looks perfectly fine in her amiibo design. In fact, from just a design standpoint, it feels like Zelda was improved, it’s just something about the 3D model that is getting the face proportions wrong. I do really like Link though, both in his child and adult forms, and Ganondorf looks appropriately intimidating. It also feels kind of weird to save the trailer until the end. Don’t get me wrong, the trailer was a great note to end on, but I feel like the trailer showcases the real charm and quality of the game so much better than the gameplay overview. Being dropped into Kokiri Forest just like that felt pretty awkward. Seeing the trailer first would’ve helped me acclimate to the style. Speaking of, I do think Nintendo really nailed the graphical look. The way the environment is designed makes the game look like it came straight out of a children’s storybook. I got used to the style a lot quicker than I expected, which I think is a good sign.

Also, I’m happy to say that I am very pleased to tell my child self the good news that the remake got Princess Ruto perfectly right. I am not ashamed to admit that Ruto was probably one of my first ever fictional crushes. Both in English and Japanese, her voice fits her character so well, not to mention that she’s one of the few characters whose design I don’t feel nearly as uncanny about. Sheik’s design is really good as well, though, I do feel kind of weird about the hairstyle change. Something about the sharper edges really helped to emphasize how different he is compared to Zelda. I suppose the new hairstyle sort of works to make the design more believable as a disguise, and he still does look cool as hell so this bit is just a minor nitpick.

Something that Ocarina of Time gets so perfectly right is this vast and pure feeling of adventure that is present throughout the whole experience. The original game felt like a love letter to classic tales of old, and the trailer convinced me that the devs completely understood what the original game was going for. All of the whimsy and sense of discovering a strange new world has been kept completely intact, and overall, I am very excited for the game to come out. I just, really hope that Zelda’s design is from an older version, because her face is just really uncomfortable to look at.
