Freddy is reacting to the alarm clock going off, that’s what the startled look is. He thought he had her, and then the alarm clock goes off, which means he has to go away.

The shots in Tina's bedroom are just horrifying.

I always just assumed Nancy had an older sibling that Freddy killed. That would explain why her mother not only killed Freddy, but also kept his glove.

The biggest travesty is that they didn't include those amazing deleted scenes remastered for the 4K anniversary release. Those are the holy grail for fans of the original Elm Street. I still can't believe they weren't included. 🤦🏻

DGW passed? Omg...I used to own several of his gloves and seeing him on Facebook's Ninja Clan pumping out gloves for Fred-Heads was amazing. Rest easy...

Nice tribute graphic for Brian.  My first "real" glove by Brian sits on a pedestal above my computer as I watch this.

There is also an alternative scene from the first part of the nightmare on Elm Street where Freddie goes to Tina and he doesn't say this is God! And he raises his hand in a glove with blades and says: One two Freddy is coming for you three four better lock your door! After these words, Freddie starts running after Tina on the road.

That tribute to Brian was beautiful.
Miss him so much and so heartbroken he’s no longer with us.

I wish they’d release the extended television cut of The Final Nightmare.

I worked at a Haunt one year, we took the positive of a car battery and put it on a glove and the negative on chicken wire. It sparked really good but once I began to sweat I started getting shocked. So we used a dish glove under the Freddy Glove and it worked like a charm. Scared the hell out of people.

Most, if not all of them would have worked. I absolutely love the longer version of Tina's opening dream in the boiler room where she's above Freddy trying to hide from him, and when he spots her up there he points at her menacingly with the glove.

Glen’s death always rubbed me the wrong way since I was a kid, never understood how in the real world, an absurd amount of blood would be leftover after being killed in a dream, it’s not consistent with the ways others are killed in the dreams and how their real bodies end up, I think finding Glen dead and drained completely of blood would’ve made more sense, something like that

A lot of the deleted scenes with John saxson I really like in a vacuum, because I enjoy the performances with him and the other people he's in the scenes with.

The best part of buying a DVD were the bonus features. Especially movies like Clerks II that were LOADED bonus features. I can’t tell you how many DVD’s I owned that I only bought for the special features. Now we’re lucky if we get a 5 minute “making of” and a deleted scene. Shout Factory understands how beloved those features were. They’re my go-to for blu-ray and 4K releases.

Side note: the deleted scenes for Elm Street 1 are some of the scariest deleted scenes ever. Freddy was terrifying in these.

Robert doing the worm arms, I’m glad that was cut, it’s just goofy.

Ah the scenes of Freddy in the bedroom before he kills Tina! Wish they used that in the Final Cut. Freddy looks his most menacing in those scenes. And the lighting on him too. Creepy as fuck! Some really good scenes that didn’t make the Final Cut. But some would have bogged the pace down too. Great video Chris. Stay awesome and all the best!

The original NOES is still the best for one big reason - less is more. We don’t see or hear from Freddy much, which is what makes his appearances so scary, and the tension so high.

hi chris

at 11:15, i believe that shot was supposed to be freddy reacting to the alarm clock going off during their fight. with the way he looks at it and pulls himself away, it was probably an early hint to the audience that freddy can be pulled into the real world. much like they do later on with the hat.

I'd say Sean Cunningham shot some of those as well. I know he came in and helped Wes

Chris knows what I do when he talks about Freddy 🤠
