Jackson Goldstone Is Changing Mountain Biking Forever

GYPSY TALES PODCAST

Jackson Goldstone is the UCI Downhill Mountain Bike World Champion rewriting the sport at 22 years old. From Squamish, British Columbia — the place built to raise a downhill world champion — Jackson breaks down four straight World Cup wins on his way to the 2025 UCI title, his redemption victory at Red Bull Hardline 2025, the rivalry with Loic Bruni, and why his flow-state riding style is forcing every team on the circuit to adapt.

Jackson's style is changing downhill MTB. Every rival team is filming him to see what lines he's on and what he's doing different. This is a conversation about raw speed, mental pressure at the top, the first 48 hours after a career-shaping crash, and what's next for one of the most dominant athletes on two wheels.

In Chapter 396, Jackson Goldstone reveals:
Winning four World Cup rounds in a row on the way to the 2025 UCI World Championship
The full redemption story at Red Bull Hardline 2025
The first 48 hours after his 2024 Hardline crash
Why he refuses to run electronic suspension
Racing Loic Bruni at Andorra 2025
His lifelong moto background and how it shaped his riding
Running a balance bike to kindergarten in Squamish, and how that path led to Santa Cruz Syndicate
Why downhill MTB is entering its prime era

It’s insane to see where Jackson is at now. I was his counselor at Woodward in 2018-2019. Back then he’s was just a little grom doing more slope style kind of riding. One of my fav campers. Love the kid

Jackson is the man! Every time I watch him ride it makes me want to go get my bike and hammer the trails! Thanks Jace for this one, making my Tuesday work day better.
Cheers from Tennessee

2025 World Cup series was one of the most exciting downhill seasons I’ve ever watched and it’s thanks to this man and Loic. I cannot wait for the next season to start especially with asa and the Alran brothers moving up. It’s gonna be legendary. Great work bringing Jackson on the podcast Jase

Never heard of this kid till today. But dammit, he clearly had great parents, who still keep the pace, and he is clearly got a great support group and is pretty smart himself. Good luck to you young one, and keep bombing down dem hills

the best at cerro abajo are the COLOMBIANS, they are not many, but they are GOOOD, we have many local urban races, and the world champion of those events is Juanfer Velez, the one that got a podium on redbull hardline wales 2024 i think. In general he is getting lots of help, but for example the one you guys were watching, called camilo sanchez, he doesn't get much support, i think orbea and leatt is helping him.
In here we don't have any bikepark with chairlifts, only trucks, which is fine, most of the time this is how pros practice, but in general, we are a very loving and close community.

Im a bit older, but i see this kid as the Jeremy McGrath of MTB. Feels like the stoke McGrath brough to Supercross in the 90s, Love watching this kid ride his bike like its a part of him. Him, Loic, Asa, Ronan. All sick cant wait for this season.
