Pete today: "i don't like being the center of attention at parties"
Pete on stage not long ago: "you ever listen to yourself at a party and think 'Im a bit much'"

John Cleese talked about doing Python live. "They're all out there mouthing the words to every one of our sketches!"
Someone said, "They all just want to be with you for an evening, John."

Not to be THAT guy - but can someone for the love of all that is holy please smooth out the background set's wallpaper bubbles?

I've missed Pete and Taylor ever since aftermidnight died.

This is some of the best two hours I've ever heard. It just blew by and I was disappointed there wasn't like six hours more when it was over. Amazing convo, I could listen to just these two talk to each other all day. I gotta go back and find the first two eps of the trilogy

As someone only now starting to truly unpack my religious trauma, Taylor Tomlinson is a godsend.

…in a top hat
…and then wear it. “😂

Saying you're done growing at 32 is such a 32 year old thing to say. lol.

Don't know if you will read the Comments, but Taylor, I was at your show in London and I am an Atheist and I "technically" don't care about the Religion stuff
but its still Funny, its still you.
I enjoyed every moment.

Really loved this conversation. You two should talk like this on camera more often.

It's interesting to hear Pete and Taylor's takes on Christianity because they were both brought up in completely different worlds. I believe Tomlinson was non-denominational evangelical, while Pete was Presbyterian. She has to process trauma, while he has deeper questions about existence. Some people may not realize that difference in perspective and that highlights the difference between mainline churches like Presbyterians ( which are often criticized as passive ) and evangelical groups ( especially non denominational, which are widely socially controlling and focussed on self feeding rather than meeting any particular doctrine )

Pete just glossing over the part in 2nd Kings where the lady is pissed because she made a deal with her neighbour to eat each other's kids, and they'd eaten her kid but the neighbor hid her kid after so there was no kid to eat.

Pete is at his FUNNIEST around Taylor 😂

Love this convo. Also wanted to add that Eddie Izzard has the Noah’s Ark Etch-A-Sketch end of the world joke in the Glorious special from 1997

To dig deeper with what Pete was saying about Taylor's life...her jokes that she came up with could have only come from her because of her lived experience....even though we all can relate on a level. I can't wait to watch it! Keep up the good work, guys!

14:10 I'm one of the people that doesn't care about religion in comedy routines BUT if Taylor's talking about it, I do. She brings such depth and experience that it's fascinating, regardless of I am already interested in the topic. If you dig deep enough, everything can be fascinating.

Pete, Charli XCX was her first screenname when internet culture and AIM/MSN chatting were still a thing. Her first promoter asked her what her stage name was for a flyer, she panicked and gave him her screen name, and then never changed it. <3

I watched the special just a couple nights ago and came back to say it's her best, most evolved special and it's honestly of my top favorite comedian shows next to Carlin, Hedberg and Izzard.

45:36 - i was like that when i was a teenager: said all the jokes that came into my head and some of them were the exact opposite of who i was. it actually got me in trouble. eventually, i grew out of it. but i had to step away from my high school friendships.

47:40 - so funny she would say that, it's the only joke i remember not liking and having the feeling it didn't represent her.
