She’s the high school, drama kid who thought she was untouchable and the best thing ever because she appeared as the lead in her school’s production of Les Miserables. Unfortunately, when you don’t grow beyond that mindset, it holds you back.
It's insanely shameful that the people at Disney went against Walt Disney's wishes to NOT remake Snow White or alter the version of Snow White. He wouldn't have to worry, as that movie did so badly, they ended up cancelling the live-action versions of Pocahontas and Tangled.
Also, can we talk about how crazy it is that this movie honestly wants us to believe that the evil queen played by literally fucking WONDER WOMAN should be jealous of Rachel Zegler’s looks? They honestly expected anyone to buy that?
There used to be a time when people understood the value of keeping one's private thoughts to themselves for the sake of professionalism. Reputation used to matter, not just clout. Regardless of political beliefs, there are ways to remain professional, classy and discreet. That's how actresses like Dame Judy Dane or Mery Streep have managed to avoid big controversies throughout the years.
I didn't care much about her until I heard she received an award for best "action star" over Keanu Reeves for John Wick, in that moment i understand why people hated her so much🧐
1:11 This is false. The queen was not wishing for her daughter to be white as snow. Babys born in wintertime in Germany, where the tale originates, are white, there skin is white, cause the sun is not "sunning". Sun gets up at 8 am and down at 3 pm, so complete Germany is dark as night from 3pm to the next morning at 8 am. And the sun that we have at daytime is mostly hiding behind huge clouds, so its not bright. Thats why the skin is so white. In the tale the mum (which by the way was not a queen, just a rich Adelsfrau), was spinning jarn on a wheel, peek im the finger with the needle by accident, and reached her hand out the window frame to SEE (remember its low light inside untill today) her wound. A view drops of blood fall on the snow on the window frame. She looked at her baby and said "Your hair is black like the wood of the windoe frame, your lips red like my blood, and your skin is white like the snow, so i ll call you Snowwhite." That is the origin.
What she should have said was “first of all I’m incredibly lucky to be part of such amazing experience, it’s not just every actors dream to be cast in a Disney film, is every child’s and I get to make my Disney dream come true. With modern retellings they’ve been done forever, Ulysses is a retelling of the odyssey and that’s the greatest novel ever written, we’re just trying to recapture the magic that audiences felt when watching the 1937 film, the film that inspired don bluth to make his masterpieces, and inspire a new generation of talented people to make their dreams come true.” or something like that.
