20 minutes in and the control this interviewer is exerting over this woman is ridiculous.
Right from the beginning when the interviewer corrected Bea it changed the tone of this account. The interviewer seems to think that if Bea doesn't say things a specific way that people will not be able to keep up and it will ruin the interview. What has actually messed up this account is the interviewer interrupting and trying to control this witness account so much that Bea is not able to give an account as she remembers it.
I watch these to understand a little of what my mother went through when she was taken to Germany in 1939. She hardly wanted to talk about it. Everyone has a different story and from time to time there are some similarities. I understand when Mrs. Bea Wyllie said (with a giggle) she always feels hungry even to today: it was because of the war and the circumstances. My mother also felt the hunger even till today she will be 106 next year.
Wow, Bea's story is amazing. She is such a beautiful woman filled with wisdom. Remember her words, and remember to give a helping hand to immigrants because you don't know the true pain these people have gone through. Always remember, be a helper not a taker. Let's also remember the true meaning of what being an American means. Let's take a break from screen time and help others. I'm so happy Bea survived and is able to tell her story, thank you so much!
I like this lady 😊 through it all she was trying to be happy..this comes through when she is speaking 😊... People are people are people...love everyone. Put your self in their shoes..and don't put up with the hatred that started all of this in the first place .. God bless us all. !!!
