The upholsterer for those wondering is Richmond James in Waterlooville, Hampshire. Absolute legends, they recently did my Celica GT seat bolster repair for me in record time and very affordable for the quality of their work. Highly recommend them. Can't see them in mentioned the description and they deserve a proper shout out.

Randomly watching this video then the guy says " wanna take a surf board and go straight to woolacombe beach north Devon" 🤣 , how weird, I live there and I'm looking at the beach out of my window as we speak

These C15 vans were built in Vigo, Spain. They are still everywhere here, where they are revered! Any part you need every scrap yard in Spain will have it!

Was expecting sooty and sweep to pop out 😂😂

From my experience of C15 Romahome ownership a few years ago, rust is the big killer. Sills, chassis rails, Bonnet, door skins, bulkhead, inner wings are all known trouble spots, engine bulletproof but not quick.

Love these things. You have just reminded me ❤. At the age of 47 me and the Mrs are looking at getting a little camper. Love anything French from the 70s to the mid nineties too. I’m looking for my own ATVM

Great video. Love the Romahomes and what a lovely thing to do for those guys, and yes you’re right, absolutely would’ve been my dream at 17 too.

I drove a C15 for a car parts company years ago. Very reliable as they're so basic, not much to go wrong and if it did, not costly to fix.

The blowtorch trick is sadly only a very short term solution, pretty soon it will look grayish again.
Maybe some UV proof clear spray over it might help?

Citroen C15 hylo, brakes were an optional extra lol, the underside and sills are know for rust including under the bonnet. I had one that was a wreck and restored it, took me a year but looked awesome afterwards, Engines are bullet proof.

I’m 5 mins in and trying to work out if you’ve ever seen one of these in your life 😂
Love this

I don’t know this particular version, but it reminds me of a very similar French camper: the Citroën C15 Autostar Mascot, from around 1985–1990. Such an interesting little camper ! 😍🤟🤠

The headlight. Probably someone tried to lever it out and broke the glass.
Wear glasses while your underneath rubbing at the rust matey.
Great job on putting it back into working order.
Johnny is a lucky young man.
Hopefully the insurance is not too terrible seeing as he is only 17.

I had 2 c15 s,of that era, which covered over 800,000 miles between them, the xud engine is one of the most reliable ever made, and I still have service parts more than 20 years later.

@sebbe5004 2 months ago

C15D was really popular in Poland , almost all small businesses had those cars , only problem was rust , XUD and later DW8 diesel engines were not to kill....I know bcs i had one xd

Tip when you use just for blokes on ya hair it turns ginger when it's already grey.

My friend Alex from DANTON ARTS KUSTOMS is building one on 6 wheels and a big V8...! Impatient to see it finished.

I had five C15 vans between '98 and 2017. The second one in '99 was brand new for £5995! Bomb proof XUD engines. Those wing mirrors fit either side, just three screws.Built in Vigo,Spain.
