Watching Pain (2001) comment on Satanic (2007) performance and they are both Immortal rank players.
I’m 1995 and an eternal Archon, lol

It's crazy how disciplined and aware of everything he is, ofc he makes mistakes but very few

I think he wanted the 1st tower on top as a sort of vision.. since he can identify if no one is farming top.. while he focus on exploding on his timing..

He is my favourite player. Thank you Pain 👍🏼 ❤

Thanks for the guide, I think my mistake on ta is playing too slow, trading farm with enemy carry and losing late game
I have to be active after blink and get it asap

19:36 well it seems to be in a kind of position that this tower is actually shoving waves more frequently and when wave is pushed creeps give vision of river. Also there is no objective near for now.

I think there's a interesting talking point when you are critiquing him denying under tower (just before the catapult waves crash)
Astini(Satanics old coach) talked on one of his videos about pressure points with catapult timings, and the wave before catapults meet, you focus on denying only so that way you get a double wave with the catapult and it allows for more tower pressure. I know you were saying how he could have just jungled but I think there's some giga high level dota going on at that timing

it's even crazy he uses edge pan instead of camera grip which I think is easier objectively.
edge pan sucks

Isn't there no point for him to take the tower that early so that the wave is constantly pushing into him? I think that's the point of prioritizing keeping the tower alive (enemy tier 1 top tower).

Respectfully i am nowhere near of pain's mmr but wouldn't early pike is necessary for ursa and primal , because if he gets on top of ta he would die also primal beast with dagger and as well as beastmaster, if u keep it dragon lance for longer wouldn't he die when they jump on top of him.

not pushing because enemy's tower is the thing that pushes the creeps back to their area. If enemy's t1 top is destroyed then enemy will have better chance to get creeps on their side since there is nothing to push it.

I think the reason he doesnt take the tower could also be efficiency just because it bounces back the wave to him , as TA he farms so fast that pulling large or small to balance out the waves when they go under t2 would make him lose lot of efficiency

Out of curiosity, how did you get this replay? Did someone in the game send it to you?

This video is an absolute masterclass in how Dota should be understood, played, and respected, the kind of breakdown that instantly reminds you why having a real coach’s perspective changes everything. Every point is delivered with such clarity and intention that you can feel the experience behind each sentence, like years of high-pressure drafts, lost games, and hard-earned wins distilled into pure insight. The way the coach dissects decision-making—why a move looks good but is actually game-losing, or how a tiny timing window can flip the entire map—elevates the video far beyond surface-level analysis. It’s not just about mechanics or flashy plays; it’s about mindset, discipline, and understanding the invisible rules that separate good players from truly elite ones. You come away seeing the map differently, valuing information more, and questioning habits you didn’t even realize were holding you back. The pacing is perfect, the explanations never talk down to you, and yet they’re precise enough to completely rewire how you think about laning, rotations, and win conditions. By the end, it feels less like you watched a video and more like you sat through a private coaching session that actually makes you better at the game—and that’s the rare kind of content that deserves real respect.

1 question: Isnt it better to take the other lv15 talent this game so that u can tank beastmaster and primal´s ult, and also ursa´s bashes without taking any damage? I often see pro players taking the -3 meld armor even when its a great game for the other talent.

how do u get that replay?

Why buy an axe every time? I would understand if there are 2 melee heroes against you and you have 2 ranged ones, but I don't see the point of taking it every time

I wouldn't call it 1v9 for sure

Great video! I think the reason he didn’t take the first tower was that going jungle would net him more gold And XP.

If he went for the tower he wouldnt get as much xp since it would take a while to kill tower.
