All of us who watched ATLA as kids are adults now. This is the fight scene we wanted to see.

Toph spitting blood? We definitely grown.

Too brutal as if 99% of the fandom isn't grown as hell

man no wonder they scrapped katara being pregnant like that HARD ASS punch to her stomach bro that baby woulda been GONEEE 😭

Probably Paramount execs forced them to water it down because they hate money

It's a crime we didn't get this scene 😭.  We grown now, we can handle it

Tagah is such a beast in the fight and seeing this deleted scene makes me wonder just how tough were the Earth Benders back then to make Tagah desperate and traumatized.

This—I needed more “lethality” from the gaang.  Seeing Katara’s ice spikes animated, but left out, is right on par for what Paramount/Netflix keep doing to the series lately. But it’s really nice to know they intended for the version that we all were dreaming of.

We were super robbed with those fight scenes

Tagah literally almost solo'd the verse EFFORTLESSLY😭 Ozai wasn't moving like this even with a comet amp

WE WERE ROBBED

Damn, really wished they added these scenes. The original seemed too rushed. Didn't even seem like Tagah killed them

Legit I already got emotional from just the storyboard of Momo coming into make it so Katara didn't fall off

I get it that people might be frustrated about Thaga taking Gaang out so quickly, but they have never faced this kind of brutal airbending before. Sure, they probably trained with Aang, but Aang’s bending is much more controlled and far less brutal

While I still don't like how easily Tagah took care of the gaang, it is cool to see them actually put up a fight.

Dear Heavenly Father, PLEASE LET THIS INSPIRE SOMEONE TO ANIMATE THESE DELETED SCENES FULLY , PLEASE IT WOULD BE SO AWESOME AND COOL!!!! AMEN.

We’re gonna need a PG-13 cut of this movie

I'm glad they changed the original villain to be an Airbender instead of an Earthbender.

For a movie that's supposed to be a character study of Aang and having him deal with his survivor's guilt and trauma, an Earthbender villain just wouldn't really sell it or do it for me because Aang would've very much seen through an Earthbender very easily because it's like, what does an Earthbender know about being the last of his kind, or what does he even know about the Air Nation anyway, and why would he care?

I don't even think that fight scene was that brutal and tbh, I think it's more creative and impactful. I'd really love to see someone animate it fully in the future

Yo, that one frame at 3:56 where Katara's head smacks against the ground, leaves a small crater, and then she keeps tumbling actually scared me the most out of all this honestly. Spitting blood is typical anime bs, but landing like that would've 100% killed a normal person😬
