Those goshiwon rooms are usually temporary situations for students mostly. Those places also save a lot of people from going homeless, if you dont have money for deposit.

That tiny apartments might seem crazy to you wealthy people or something but even my last studio apt probably had less square footage and I can assure you it beats having nothing. That was cute and I don't know why a single person or maybe even a couple would complain about it. I love it

Many of these people have real homes though. But because their real homes are far or in the countryside, it is just way more convenient to rent a small room in the city.

As a traveller, I remember I was near the exact spot at Seoul station where it's mostly homeless people almost 4 years ago. It's heartbreaking to see there are still so many homeless people living on the streets. Really hope the leaders can do something to help people like them who need it the most!

19:00--- talking about the average home being about $600K USD minimum- young ppl are unable to afford starting a family etc... wages are not great---- well same thing has happened to N.America too. My boys (Canadian) non of them want kids and affording a house (homes in our city in south Alberta average $4-450K for a STARTER)- no many young ppl can afford this. Its crazy
