Our Reaction To: 15 Most Brutal Fouls In Football
In this brutal football fouls reaction, we're watching the moments that crossed every line the beautiful game is supposed to stand for — the tackles, the challenges, and the incidents that left players on the stretcher, careers altered, and referees reaching for cards before the dust had even settled.

Football sells itself on skill, creativity and elegance. This video is the other side of that story. And some of these hits are genuinely difficult to watch.

ABOUT THIS VIDEO
We're reacting to 15 Most Brutal Fouls In Football and breaking down:
The incidents themselves — what was happening in each match, whether the challenges were reckless or deliberate, and how the game has changed its approach to player protection since some of these happened.

The culture of physicality — where the line sits between hard but fair and outright dangerous, and why football has had to evolve its rules repeatedly to protect players at every level.

Our live reactions — the challenges that made us wince, the ones we had to rewind, and the moments where we genuinely couldn't believe what we were watching.

The consequences — what happened to the players involved, the suspensions and bans that followed, and in some cases the careers that were never quite the same afterward.

If you love football, sports history, and content that doesn't look away from the game's harder moments, this one is intense viewing.

They should have gotten someone who actually knows how to pronounce the names to narrate the video.

Suarez bit more than once 😏

Listening to a hyped up yank that can't pronounce player, manager or club names correctly, really feels like a brutal foul on my ears 🤣🤣🤣

I have seen the same or even worst , the 70s and 80s era of football was pretty nasty , and because of that they started to think about the yellow and red cards . The 1970 World cup semifinal Brazil vs Uruguay was elite football mixed with tae kwon do , there was so much skill on that field that the tackle became the most effective weapon to stop players .

Graham Souness...Why am I not surprised he features in this video!

The player at number 7 is named Ewald Lienen. The images that weren't shown here are horrific. The player fouled him with a straight leg and slashed his entire thigh from top to bottom with the 18 mm screw-in studs attached to his football boots.

Wont be too hard to find a video with suarez biting. He did it 3 times 😂😂

Number 1 was even in the meme song about Haaland "Roy Keane tried to kill his dad"

I was born in wythenshawe Manchester in 1970. Im a Manchester city fan as it was my local team and used to go the matches most weeks when Manchester city's ground was in moss side side before the Etihad stadium 😊

Quick fact : Goikoetxea who broke Maradona’s ankle is very proud of the incident and his nickname. So much so he keeps the boots in a glass case and tells anyone who will listen about Maradona’s ankle sounding like a piece of wood snapping .

It's pretty unlikely that these are the worst fouls ever . There's been professional football for 140 years so unlikely all the worst fouls are in the relatively recent period of colour TV. and live coverage.

You can always count on an American to miss pronounce names but this one must be a new record

@johnturner4939 6 months ago

You see worse than most of this in an argentinian game every saturday

Have a watch of the Chelsea v Leeds Fa Cup Replay from 1970. Absolutely crazy.

Some of the pronunciations in this video are hilarious

What I noticed is that many people don't quite understand the difference between kicking a standing man in a shin, and kicking a running man. When you run, your knees are under much more stress, than when you stand still. That's especially true when you run at full speed. So additional stress in the form of relatively weak kick can easily tear ligaments and damage joints. And in any case it is extremely painful even if it looks like the opponent barely touched the guy.
