Stephanie Vaquer regained the Women's World Championship from Liv Morgan on September 12, 2026 at an untelevised WWE live event at Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile, with Becky Lynch serving as special guest referee. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce named Lynch to the role after two referees were taken out during Morgan's successful defense against Vaquer in Buenos Aires the night before. In the closing moments, Morgan hit Oblivion and covered Vaquer, but Lynch stopped her count at two and raised both middle fingers at Morgan. Vaquer then hit the SVB and the Vaquer Inferno to win the title, ending Morgan's reign at 147 days. Morgan has since called the finish the Santiago Screwjob. This video looks at why Lynch did it, the history between Lynch and Morgan that goes back to 2024, Lynch's long-running feud with referee Jessika Carr, and why the real story coming out of Chile may be Becky Lynch versus Liv Morgan.
