Is it still possible to live with dignity in France on €1,500 net per month? Between unpaid bills, overdrafts, and invisible sacrifices, this documentary follows the daily lives of four French people living on the edge.
60 to 70% of French people earn less than €1,500 per month. For a year, this report shared the lives of Martine, a social worker in Paris overwhelmed by debt; Yann, a seasonal worker in the mountains building his own house; Alexandre, a young teacher in Seine-Saint-Denis forced to live in a shared apartment; and André, a 78-year-old former wrestler performing street shows to pay his bills. Through their laughter, their tears, and their incredible dignity, this film paints a portrait of the middle class: those who work hard, who ask for nothing, but who find themselves sacrificed by social decay and inflation.
