It was a crazy NASCAR Nationwide Series qualifying session at Kentucky. Imagine having a technical error of not getting your name on the entry list on time cost you a spot in the starting grid because your Champion’s Provisional was taken away as a result like Jeff Green. Stanton Barrett’s Crew Chief or even Rick Ware should have told him that he was locked in instead of taking a second lap. Him crashing his only primary car on the second with no backup car to fall back and having to fix the car from scratch after qualifying. It was a tough blow for not only Rick Ware Racing but for guys like Jeff Green and Kevin Lepage who usually do well in qualifying and putting cars in the shows as go or go homers.
