I have used the nunchaku since 1971.  One will learn all of the fine tips in this video for themselves by striking targets.  The sensei was very pragmatic in admitting that the nunchaku is a very limited weapon, especially for defense.  At age 65, I still practice with the nunchaku and jo, (and French baton) daily.  This was a wonderful video.

This is definitely one of my top 10 nunchaku videos of all time.

Impressive techniques👍👍👍

He was my Sensei when I was in Okinawa. He’s a great teacher and takes the time to explain every moment and why it’s important. Loved training with him and very excited to have found these videos. Sensei 😊

Grip becomes very important when striking and that is what the instructor seems to be showing around 12:40, and discusses striking with the last two inches of the nunchaku to help the follow through.

Smart man knows strength will of course is always strong

I Learned more in this video than any other dvd in my Collection of nunchucks tutorials. This explains a lot. Thank you for this.

gracias por los subtitulos !!!

What a brilliant sensei! Too few explain their art in such a way. Osu

Very good points. I love the finer moves, the holds, and the aiming. I never thought much about what part of the head I was swinging at. Now I understand. Thank you so much for a great video! At 72 it is fantastic to still be learning

Some absolute gold here.
Thank you
