In the case of my late brother, he became possessed at age 14 after using a ouija board. I was only 10 years old, but I saw everything. My father thought he was going insane and called the paramedics. When 4 grown men came, along with my father, all of them couldn't budge my brother off the chair! They had to carry him down the stairs, still seated in the chair. I believe it's called "possessed gravity". Despite this preternatural sign, my father didn't realize what was happening to my brother. My brother had been given a ouija board as a gift a year prior. If my brother had levitated, it would have been more obvious. He developed schizophrenia in the mental hospital. He died at age 56, never having been exorcized. I was only 10 years old when I saw this, and didn't talk to my parents about this because they both were stern. As an adult, after my brother had died, I brought up the subject of what I had seen and felt happen to my brother with my parents. My mother scoffed, telling me "He had schizophrenia ". But my father paused and thought, and told me "No wonder I saw his face changing in the ambulance ".

I was in a not great place financially. Living in a basement, husband gone 60 hours a week working, raising a hyper 2 year old, and found out I was pregnant. We found out at 12 weeks her testing came back abnormal. I got an amnio test to see exactly what was going on so I could prepare, and my water broke the day after at 16 weeks. The doctors gave her a 50:50 chance. I did the rosary in the hospital and babygirl survived. I did the research, prayed for clarity and His will, and received a sign from God I was meant to place her for adoption. She’s with a family who is giving her everything I couldn’t have. They are very experienced with her condition, and she’s thriving. We later found out the parents were praying for me and the baby before we even met (just by hearing our story through ppl in the church). I was upset and asking God why me, but now I know God had a plan for my girl. He chose me to give her life and to a family who was praying for a baby, and me!

Father Dan Rehill’s episode on Shawn Ryan was the catalyst for me coming back to my Catholic faith after living apart from it for more than twenty years!! Thank you Fr Dan Rehill!

I had to come back and write this comment. I watched this episode last week and found the popes prayer he was talking about to lift any family or spiritual curses. I had full body tingles while saying it and had the most anxiety I’ve ever had in my life that whole day. Then just last night someone tried to come to me in my dreams and convince me to trust them and follow them. And even in my dream I could feel in my gut that I needed to stop interacting with this person and in my dream, I stopped myself and started saying the Lord‘s prayer with my hands together and my eyes closed when I open my eyes and look back at this person, their eyes had gone completely black, and they looked and felt very evil unlike before. I wouldn’t talk to them anymore. I just kept praying and I truly believe that that was me in a conscious state, saving myself. I have chills writing this still.

As a Mexican catholic there is no shortage of insane paranoia of evil spirits stories which I believe but not as “these things are real” way but more of evil manifestation on the person. Some stories like my grandpa witnessed a leprechaun dancing and gesturing to come towards to him, for what ? Idk. Another is a man slithering like a snake in front of the local church. And one more is my uncle walking home from work. He has to cross a real small bridge over a creek to get home. At 4 or 5 am there on the bridge a dog black as night with glowing red eyes, not like you see on cats when u flash a light on em at night ; just straight glowing like a break light from a car.
These stories always bring my faith closer to me not out of fear but to put fear in those things

Thank you for having one of my beloved priest on your podcast

The last quarter of this kept putting me in tears. I’ve never been influenced by a catholic, much less a priest, like this. He felt authentic in his belief and love for Jesus with what sounded like a good understanding of certain topics. We don’t agree on some things but his heart and obedience to our same Savior shook me today. Thanks to all three of you for your vulnerability and service of God. 🫶

My grandparents (dad’s side) were Mason/Eastern Star. My grandmother even has the Eastern Star symbol on her grave marker. My dad was not involved in Masonic things and he became a born again Christian in 1972 as I did a few years after that. I have prayed to break any generational ties to break any past demonic ties concerning Masonic stuff in our family past.

I remember being 6-7 years old. My older sister, hated a certain perfume smell & couldn’t stand seeing my uncle. Little by little , she started acting a bit “crazy”
When my uncle would come home , she would be by the door, when he would walk in , she would rush him and try scratching his face .
Or randomly she would say the “perfume” my mom would wear was making her head hurt. My mom would spray her perfume and rub a little bit of holy water on her wrists and behind her ears every day .
Then one day, my sister started laughing really deep and said she couldn’t wait for my uncle to get home . He got out the car & closed the door, she heard the car door slammed & ran to the kitchen , got a knife and ran to the living room.
I don’t remember what happened after that. She started sleeping in my parents room while my uncle and all of us slept on the other side of the house . One time she was laughing uncontrollably and talking in 2 different voices, she was thrashing around and laughing . I remember my mom slapping her and praying over her . She was laughing so loud, but every slap my mom gave her , no marks on her face . The marks showed up on my mom’s face instead. Weeks later, I remember my dad sending us away to stay at my aunts house. Some priest came and when we came back she was better .
Will never forget it and till this day we don’t talk about it at all.

Born and raised Roman Catholic and now as an adult I love learning all of these fascinating topics within our faith. So glad I found this podcast and Fr. Reehil. I wish we had a bigger congregation here in Louisville, Ky. I’m originally from Chicago and I’m so used to the large Catholic community we have there at Holy Name Cathedral it seems like nowhere else compares

I randomly was sent a clip of this on TikTok and I don’t think I’m possessed but the part about being in order “God likes order” that stuck out to me so much. I’m lazy and drank way to much let things get out of hand at home sometimes let my garage and shop go don’t care for cleanliness let my yard go. I’ve never been like this always a keeping up with the joneses kinda guy. I think I needed to hear this today

I have to say that nefarious was eye opening for me. It was a lesson for sure. It laid out the demons hatred for us and the motivation easily understood. When he said, not exact "Your creator shaped you in his image.. and we spent all of history to reshape you in ours" that was a movie pause moment. Had to let the ice chills that were runnng down my spine stop. That hyper focus and patients described was bone chilling.
