Remember, one thing folks, the more people that try to fight you at one time the more of a threat you are use that as your confidence

“You won’t make it long you don’t hit hard enough” was such a fire line

I love it how Cooper had to take shit from literally everyone throughout the series. Strong kid

He should've asked more tbh

A million is what you settle to avoid the expenses of a trial you can win. This trial would be a slam dunk against M-Tex and they'd be looking at not just damages but fines. He should've asked for 5m per family.

Manuel is an example of outward confidence masking learned helplessness.
Cooper is an example of quiet confidence masking fortitude and resilience.

The difference between them is night and day, they were always going to be enemies and Cooper was always going to survive their conflict.

It's crazy how badly Manuel fucked himself up. Yeah he was hurting and grieving his family, but they should've squashed it after cooper whooped both of them and got on the crew. But he got in his feelings and kept acting up, and all he got for it was spending the rest of his life in prison.

To think that you can send your own boss's son to the hospital (which Manuel knew Cooper is) with no consequences, especially after assaulting him in front of everyone, is so dumb to be hilarious.

"I don't see you speculating or banging on doors or hustlin' mineral rights." And that's exactly what he went on to do.

Sometimes men need to fight it out. Physical activity and movement help bring us emotional clarity

My dad worked the Texas - NM patch in the 50s, at 17 he had to climb up a rig, bring a guy down whose arm was ripped off in the chain!

That harness is popped tho. He definitely pulled the tags out falling 10 ft

Such great friends/cousins that they ignore Cooper being the reason all three widows each got a million dollar payout instead of $400k. He wasn't just arguing for Ariana, he was arguing for all three families from the start.

A million dollars 💵 and showing your son how to be a landman type of oil company🛢️🛢️🛢️🛢️ won't be easy but that's the hardest work ever and being a roughneck
