I agree paying your mortgage is the right way to go. Because not only are you saving that interest but you are also gaining money on the asset over that time plus the increased proportion of it you own as a result. So actually based on the numbers you have it’s probably a bigger gain for you than investing. Well done mama

I believe that in some capacity we will always have the desire to tune in to peoples lives online. Your content is so varied that I feel like it will stand the test of time :)

And yes paying off the majority / all if possible of your mortage as the priority is absolutely the way to go.
People who say otherwise are in the old mind set and want to project that onto you as that’s the advice they were given / followed.

We're doing this. Been living on a tight budget and have been seeing an increase in $4000 per month in the offset. Two kids at school. We moved regionally here in Australia so it was all part of the plan. Will own the house in 2030 all being well and will allow us to give the kids a great time in their teenage years.

Congratulations on focusing on debt. Two underrated advantages of debt repayment over investing is you are also reducing risk, and your return is guaranteed. Go Team Smiley :)

Being able to live off one income is so great. Being able to stay home with bub is so amazing! And then having that choice of working or part time or full time parenting is great.

I would way rather have a paid off house than invest the extra money. It would feel good to know my house is paid for if there is a change in jobs. Also your house payment is usually your biggest payment it frees up so much money every month having it paid off.
