Holstery sent me some of their tool belt products, so I put hands on them and compared the setup to the tool pouch I’ve been using for years. In this video, I unbox everything, build out a custom setup, and share my thoughts on what I like, what I’d change, and whether it could replace my current setup!

Now I know why Palmer makes such a good YouTuber… the man knows how to conduct himself. 😂⚡

Loop on hat would be great for a flashlight (penlight).

You can rotate the pins to find that sweet spot. Also they make a belt that has webbing that keeps the clips retained. As a handyman I need a lot of tools sometimes and I have built out a wicked tool belt and chest rig. However it wasn’t cheap but it’s dramatically increased my efficiency. And time is money

Take a look at the new Milwaukee Packout "Compact Crate". Perfect when you have to crawl up into an attic to do work.
100% recommended.

I haven’t watch the video and I already hit the like button!

I have the magmaster and love it for working outside where I dont have a place to put tools down.
As for the pen pal setup, usually you can put the clips on either side of the tool so theoretically you could put the normal clip on one side and the new hook on the other.

Also, I would check out Elory pouches. Not the most amazing quality, but cheap and lots of space in the one I have. I fit my phone, chainsaw wedges, scrench, and many other large tools in it comfortably.

The setup you started with is sick

I highly recommend blak lader pants! They basically have built in pouches and straps for tools.

the magnet is great for some bits but I wouldn't trust a hammer on there. Not after we just covered the drill holder pin pal which looked amazing. Magnetes are good for certain scenes like brick laying where things may fall anyway and you can hold a trowel close to you when you need to switch hands or reach for bricks etc and mark things

Check out the NÖHLSTER locking tool clip it solves the problem of the regular drill clip potentially falling off but doesn’t require you to stick to a dedicated system like the pin pall

@Magnano_ 1 month ago

I used the pinpal on my m12 for a while until it squeaked every step I took. Also if I took a knee the drill would sometimes catch something, rotate and find its way out

I never heard of this brand but it certainly looks like a great system for many trades. I like the belt too and I think they call that a G-clip or something similar due to its shape.

Hey palmer, will you be able to make a video about wiring fixtures. I am been watching and I don't understand it quite well.

Saw this ad a cou;le days ago. was thinking about getting the chest vest

@manuelsangabino3919 2 weeks ago (edited)

Seems like it’s all based on tactical gear….chest rigs, drop leg rigs and drop pouches (joey pouch) molle/pals webbing. A lot of trade stuff is designed by former mil via the GWOT. The owner of Atlas 46 for example used to own Eagle Industries which was a tactical gear innovator and government contractor.

I made my own clip, using a tape measure bracket, kydex and a belt clip. I can hang a tape or tool without chewing up my pants or belt, and it just unclips snd hangs on my pack at the end of the day.

@305 dollars? I bought a real nice Occidental Leather tool belt with a tool holder for one hip and a joey pouch style pouch that has 2 or 3 different compartments to carry wirenuts and the like in them for not much more than that a few years back. And thats all real leather.
