AIRPLANE 2 MOVIE REACTION! Today we'll be watching a film I have never seen before Airplane 2 released in 1982 for the first time. Here's our Airplane 2 reaction. Watch the ENTIRE Movie with me? Check out: Patreon: TimotheeReacts

Though haunted by combat memories, heroic pilot Ted Striker (Robert Hays) agrees to return to the cockpit to man the controls of Mayflower One, America's first commercial spacecraft. But, as soon as Mayflower One lifts off, an electrical malfunction sends the ship veering off course. A shaken Striker struggles to guide the shuttle through a treacherous asteroid belt, tame its failing computer systems and stop the disgruntled Joe Seluchi (Sonny Bono) from detonating a deadly bomb on board.

- Reaction. What is it?
- It's people recording their emotions to the movie they watch. But it's not important right now.
I just wanted to say. Good luck, we're all counting on you ✈️

As a Russian I can say this is exactly how news looks even today. 😂

The bomber is Sony Bono. He was married to Cher before this and later became a US representative from California. He was killed in a snow skiing accident.

26:55 original M:I theme song hits harder when you realize the captain was in the original M:I TV series

Fun fact - did you realize that one of the news anchors, at the time of this movie's release (December 10th, 1982), was finishing up his first year as the host of a game show he would continue to host for the next four decades (Pat Sajak was one of the news anchors & he started hosting "Wheel Of Fortune" on December 28th, 1981).

"my god, they're launching the XR-2200! do you know what that is?" "a muffler bracket for a '79 pinto?" "no, that's the XR-2300."

The prop with blinking lights is the Modern Props 195-290-1, often called "The Most Important Device in the Universe," featuring dual acrylic tubes with rapidly flashing, chasing, or "blinking" lights. Known as a "Dual Axis Generator" or "Dual Laser Generator," it appeared in over 200 films and shows.

Here's an "Isn't that Ironic?" moment: The judge in the trial flashback was played by Raymond Burr, best known as Perry Mason.

As most get, the homicidal computer is taken straight out of "2001: A Space Odyssey," including the "it must be human error" and "what Di you think you're doing, Dave?" Also, the use of "An der schönen blauen Donau." In "2001" it evoked the sense that two spacecraft were dancing together, so here it was literally two people dancing in space.

The mad bomber plot is straight out of the original "Airport" movie, including the scene where the pilot tries to speak him out of it. Sadly, there was no dog, so of course the bomb went off.

Absolutely love the sequel

It's a shame not many people watched it or never heard of it

Shatner was an incredible pick for that character 😂

Tim and Clasriss, the official trailer for Toy Story 5, came out last Thursday! You two should definitely watch the trailer, as it has new characters, more of Jessie's backstory, Forky and Karen getting married, and the army of Buzz Lightyears.

It also had Woody's bald spot because he's been a lost toy, getting outside every day, and getting older.

I recognize Rip Torn as Zeus from Disney’s Hercules.

Nobody really knew that a sequel to Airplane! existed unless they look it up. I personally think the first one is better, but this one can get some good laughs too.

I watched the first movie one year ago and then instantly watched your reactions to it. A few days ago I watched a sequel and now I enjoy your reaction together ✈️🛩️🚀
