I love the way you brought up how the cultural movements of the time especially around the butch/fem dynamic in the 40s and 60s played a role in the fashion of the time. I think it would be really cool to go more into depth on how the movements and culture at the time effected the way lesbians presented themselves. Personally I know that the culture shift around women's rights was huge for the butch/fem dynamic, especially with the butches taking on a more "working class" approach to fashion and fems using their femininity to protect said butches. I really only know about that specific time period, but I think it could add a lot of depth to the exploration of lesbian fashion. :)

Hi, it seems like a lot of this video leans heavily on Eleanor Medhurst's work, which I do acknowledge you've mentioned, but most of the key figures you touch on in this video are from her blog regardless of whether you cited them or not. It's lovely to see lesbian fashion being highlighted, but a lot of this research is only available because Eleanor did it, and isn't commonly known/thought of outside of her research. As a lesbian, it would be great to celebrate other lesbians who are preserving our history, and give them full credit where it is due. Citing someone once, for a specific part of the video, doesn't mean you're covered for the whole rest of the video, where the majority of the figures referred to are also from either her book or her blog. I'm saying this with love as a calling in rather than a call out.
