Brave Star was a good series , i love the 80s and 90s peak animation, but the only negative , is how these companies were more focus on creating "Toys" , when they should have been focusing on making these series last a few seasons
I like Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, Go-Bots, Bravestarr, Centurions, Sky Commanders, COPS, Pole Position, The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers. I remember watching these shows in the 1980's and at that time cable tv was growing and just putting stuff on to fill the airwaves. I believe that with VHS being groundbreaking at the time would have boosted their popularity at rental stores. Also, a lot of these cartoons if they were to get additional episodes were based on toy sales. If the toy sales failed the cartoon was cancelled immediately.
I watched Marshall Brave Starr and Galaxy Rangers! I found them fantastic. Yes, Galaxy Rangers remembers me to Star Wars, this is true.:face-fuchsia-wide-eyes::face-fuchsia-wide-eyes::face-fuchsia-wide-eyes:
Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors had the best intro power ballot song. 😂 80's cartoons man, you will never get anything that satisfying again. Great vid, I have watched every one of these. 👍🏾
( 15:40 ) C.O.P.S. had another problem; Robocop: The Animated Series appeared on TV barely two weeks after on October 1, 1988 (COPS debuted September 19).
Having Gobots here kind of goes against the theme of this; you even acknowledge that Gobots is actually the original. I remember Rubik, I keep having to tell people that thing really existed. It was SO bad. I remember most of these, and just how bad most were, though Gobots was higher quality, it just never caught on fully. Dinosaucers wasn't just a Transformers clone, there was a whole genre of group cartoons then. Kind of interesting how the rings look very Captain Planet. The Sky Commanders theme was... kind of mid. Mostly exposition with barely any music. It doesn't stand up to these others.
80 s and 90 s were the best years.for kids to live. Cartoons were great, made us believe in heroes, to play like.them and dream to become one. All of this era was awesome. All!❤
So Rubik the Amazing Cube is actually more important as a piece of animation history for a specific reason.
It is actually the first american produced animation that featured a latino family, no joke.
The version of Menudo that was out was really popular at the time, And I think they actually had a show on ABC sometime when the same saturday morning, but anyway that's a fact.
Pole Position was a pretty good Saturday morning cartoon. The problem was after the few episodes it had no where to grow story wise and ran its course.
