📌 Donbas has been hit again, killing at least 33 people and injuring around 20 more. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Meanwhile, one person was killed and three were wounded in the Kursk region. There are also casualties in the Belgorod and Bryansk regions.
📌 South Korea has recalled its ambassador from Ukraine and is demanding an official apology. This is Seoul's response to Volodymyr Zelenskyy's public statement regarding the transfer of two North Korean prisoners of war. The parties agreed not to disclose this information.
📌 Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced meetings of the Ukrainian delegation in the United States. According to media reports, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will discuss organizing trilateral talks with Russia in Abu Dhabi at the end of October.
📌 Maria del Carmen Abascal has died in Spain. In late September, the 87-year-old woman was forcibly evicted from her apartment. This sparked mass protests across the country. Amid the crisis, the government announced early elections.
📌 In central Paris, police again used water cannons and tear gas to disperse schoolchildren and students. Prior to this, security forces used strobe-equipped shields to disperse demonstrators, according to Parisien.
📌 The death toll in the ferry sinking off the coast of Northern Cyprus has risen to 24. Rescuers have recovered the body of another person. The tragedy occurred on August 30. The ferry, carrying 259 passengers and eight crew members, capsized.
📌 Armenia is discussing the consequences of the incident involving an Azerbaijani soldier entering its territory. According to the country's National Security Service, the man may have illegally crossed the border and shot a local resident.
