You can feel Brody's frustration with the coroner suddenly changing his tune to 'boat propeller' when small town politics started taking a hand. Brody is direct and decisive-and feels frustrated with politics like most police must feel. Also the mayor is quite passive/aggressive with "it's only your first summer"-a veiled threat.
As close to a perfect movie as you will get. Thereâs no flabby exposition, no scene that doesnât have a purpose. The acting, the dialogue, the cinematography, the set design, the soundtrack, I could go on. Itâs all so well done. This movie doesnât have an ounce of fat on it. Brilliant.
Love any scene with Mr Quin in it. But understand why they cut his scene in the music shop. That fingernail scratching town meeting scene was a much better introduction to him
